An article of a muslim woman. Are we oppressed?

Assalamu Alaikum warahmathullahi wa barakathuhu(Peace be upon You all). Before I start my article, I am here to say all those People who call themselves well-wishers of Muslim women,Muslim women freedom fighter, squad against Hijab or any other personality or movements "Islam has Already given us our Due rights and our Freedom and we are not oppressed ; I am here to say I am a happy Muslimah Alhamdullilah (Muslim woman)!!! "The media's portrayal of Muslim women, usually outlining their "oppression and mystery" seems to contribute to this negative perception. In fact, Islam condemns oppression of any kind of creation whether it is towards a woman or humankind in general or animals and plants.

These people who ever think that a Muslim women has no freedom, status or rights, either they do not know how a woman is treated in Islam (by failing to learn from correct sources) or they really have a wrong definition of these words which I mentioned earlier (freedom, status or rights).

The media and people around us (specially those people who sells beauty related goods ) make us feel worth when we are beautiful for their eyes by make ups, dressing hair, wearing dresses which expose the parts of her beauty (some time they feel it is better to avoid long covering dresses ) or when we speak sweetly, dancing with everyone and dressing for parties and they will only complement those fit their expectations . However, these are not real freedom, status or rights as most people believe blindly. These are type of enslavement set for the female by the communities and media. A woman is not merely a an enjoyment as the ignorant describe her to be. She is main stay, a pillar and integral part of a community or society who should be loved, respected and honored.

What is freedom? These are few answers from google.
  • The power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants.
  • The state of not being imprisoned or enslaved
  • The state of not being subject to or affected by (something undesirable).
If this is freedom alhamdullilah we been provided complete freedom. We are not slaves of creation (people, community, media, business magnets etc.) but the slave of our creator almighty Allah alone. Islam gave women rights and privileges at a time when only barbaric manners and values dominated. Yet, some people argue that Islam has alienated women in some domains. In fact, this belief is a misconception. Allah, may He be Glorified, is the Creator of male and female; He is their Lord, the One Whom they worship, and He is far above any injustice:

"And your Lord is not ever unjust to [His] servants" [Fussilat 41:46]
"And your Lord does injustice to no one." [Al-Kahf 18:49]

In Islam there is absolutely no difference between men and women as far as their relationship to Allah is concerned, as both are promised the same reward for good conduct and the same punishment for evil conduct. The Qur'an says:
And for women are rights over men similar to those of men over women. (Al Baqarah 2:226)

The Qur'an, in addressing the believers, often uses the expression, 'believing men and women' to emphasize the equality of men and women in regard to their respective duties, rights, virtues and merits.

Indeed, the Muslim men and Muslim women, the believing men and believing women, the obedient men and obedient women, the truthful men and truthful women, the patient men and patient women, the humble men and humble women, the charitable men and charitable women, the fasting men and fasting women, the men who guard their private parts and the women who do so, and the men who remember Allah often and the women who do so - for them Allah has prepared forgiveness and a great reward.
(Surat Al-'Aĥzāb 33:34)

To be continued Insha Allah.
Allah knows the best
Islam is the best.
