Assalamu alikum warahmathulla my dear reader i thought of writing and gathering some hadith related to us Muslims (strangers in this world). I was request to write another article about strangers after my firt article alhamdullilah i am trying my best. First of all this article is written to please Allah subhanahu wa tha ala and then all my readers and visitors.
Who are Strangers( Ghurabaa’)?
The Ghurabaa’(Strangers) are those who submit to Allah (swt) exclusively, and follow the Sharee’ah in every aspect of their life. They worship, obey and follow none but Allah, whilst associating no man, woman or object with Him. Their example to follow is the Messenger (saw) and his companions (ra). Tawheed is their attribute as they offer their ritual acts to none but almighty Allah:
“Say: ‘Verily, my Salaat (prayer), my sacrifice, my living, and my dying are for Allah, the Lord of the ‘Aalameen (mankind, jinns and all that exists).’” ( al-An’aam, 6: 162)
They are far away from the majority, acting upon the divine information Allah has sent to mankind:
And if you obey most of those upon the earth, they will mislead you from the way of Allah . They follow not except assumption, and they are not but falsifying.(6:116)
Be happy we are strangers to the world
As It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“Islam began as something strange and will go back to being strange, so glad tidings to the strangers.’”Sunan Ibn Majah 3986
Characteristics of the Strangers
- The first of those characteristics is that they single out Allaah
- follow the Messenger (salallaahu ‘alaihiwasallam), and taking his words over the words of other creation.
- having sabr (patience) in this upon the hardships
- Love one another for sake of Allah
- Living to enter jannah\
