Amazing time for Supplicating .....part1

1 .The Last Third Of The Night

Abu Hurairah (RA) narrated that Allah’s Messenger (SAW) said: 'In the last third of every night our Rabb (Cherisher and Sustainer) (Allah (SWT)) descends to the lowermost heaven and says; "Who is calling Me, so that I may answer him? Who is asking Me so that may I grant him? Who is seeking forgiveness from Me so that I may forgive him?."' [Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith Qudsi]

Amr ibn Absah narrated that the Prophet said: 'The closest any worshipper can be to His Lord is during the last part of the night, so if you can be amongst those who remember Allah at that time, then do so.'[at-Tirmidhi, an-Nasa'i, al-Hakim - Sahih]

2.  Between Adhan and Iqamah

Anas (RA) narrated that Allah’s Messenger (SAW) said: 'A supplication made between the Adhan and Iqama is not rejected.'
[Ahmad, abu Dawud #521, at-Tirmidhi #212, Sahih al-Jami #3408, an-Nasai and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih (sound)]

3. During The Rain

Narrated Sahel Ibn Sa'ad (RA): that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: 'Two will not be rejected, Supplication when the Adhan (call of prayer) is being called, and at the time of the rain'. [Al-Hakim 2: 114, and Abu Dawud #2540, ibn Majah]

'Seek the response to your du'as when the armies meet, and the prayer is called, and when rain falls' [reported by Imam al-Shafi' in al-Umm, al-Sahihah #1469].

4. The One Who Is Suffering Injustice and Opression

The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said to Mua'ad Ibn Jabal (RA), 'Beware of the supplication of the unjustly treated, because there is no shelter or veil between it (the supplication of the one who is suffering injustice) and Allah (SWT)' [Sahih Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

The prophet (SAW) declared, 'Three men whose dua is never rejected (by Allah) are: the fasting person until he breaks his fast (in another narration, when he breaks fast), the just ruler and the one who is oppressed.'[Ahmad, at-Tirmidhi - Hasan]

5. The Traveler

The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said; Three supplications will not be rejected (by Allah (SWT)), the supplication of the parent for his child, the supplication of the one who is fasting, and the supplication of the traveler. [al-Bayhaqi, at-Tirmidhi - Sahih]

Are you a stranger in this world (part 2)?

Assalamu alikum warahmathulla my dear reader i thought of writing and gathering some hadith related to us Muslims (strangers in this world). I was request to write another article about strangers after my firt article alhamdullilah i am trying my best. First of all this article is written to please Allah subhanahu wa tha ala and then all my readers and visitors.

Who are Strangers( Ghurabaa’)?

The Ghurabaa’(Strangers) are those who submit to Allah (swt) exclusively, and follow the Sharee’ah in every aspect of their life. They worship, obey and follow none but Allah, whilst associating no man, woman or object with Him. Their example to follow is the Messenger (saw) and his companions (ra). Tawheed is their attribute as they offer their ritual acts to none but almighty Allah:

“Say: ‘Verily, my Salaat (prayer), my sacrifice, my living, and my dying are for Allah, the Lord of the ‘Aalameen (mankind, jinns and all that exists).’” ( al-An’aam, 6: 162)

They are far away from the majority, acting upon the divine information Allah has sent to mankind:
And if you obey most of those upon the earth, they will mislead you from the way of Allah . They follow not except assumption, and they are not but falsifying.(6:116)

Be happy we are strangers to the world

As It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“Islam began as something strange and will go back to being strange, so glad tidings to the strangers.’”Sunan Ibn Majah 3986

Characteristics of the Strangers

  1. The first of those characteristics is that they single out Allaah
  2. follow the Messenger (salallaahu ‘alaihiwasallam), and taking his words over the words of other creation.
  3. having sabr (patience) in this upon the hardships
  4. Love one another for sake of Allah
  5. Living to enter jannah\

We as a muslim should live with best character as it is reported in Book Tirimidi as Abu Ad-Dardh narrated that the Messenger of Allah said: "Nothing is placed on the Scale that is heavier than good character. Indeed the person with good character will have attained the rank of the person of fasting and prayer."

Islam is the best: Muharram and Ashoora

Islam is the best: Muharram and Ashoora: Al-Bukhaari (3167) and Muslim (1679) narrated from Abu Bakrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of All...

Muharram and Ashoora

Al-Bukhaari (3167) and Muslim (1679) narrated from Abu Bakrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The division of time has turned to its original form which was current the day Allaah created the heavens and earth. The year consists of twelve months of which four are sacred: three consecutive months, Dhu’l-Qa’dah, Dhu’l-Hijjah and Muharram, and Rajab of Mudar which comes between Jumada and Sha’baan.”

But it was proven that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) did not fast any month in full apart from Ramadaan, so this hadeeth is to be understood as meaning that it is it is encouraged to fast a lot in the month of Muharram, not to fast the whole month.

And the Month of Muharram contains a day which is special for Muslims, Called Day of Ashoora. According to tradition of Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) we are asked to fast on this special day.

Fasting the day of ‘Ashoora’ does expiate for the past year, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Fasting the day of ‘Arafah I hope Allaah will expiate thereby for the year before it and the year after it, and fasting the day of ‘Ashoora’ I hope Allaah will expiate thereby for the year that came before it.” Narrated by Muslim, 1162. This is by the bounty that Allaah bestows upon us, whereby fasting one day expiates for the sins of a whole year. And Allaah is the Owner of great bounty.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to be very keen to make sure he fasted on the day of ‘Ashoora’ because of its great status. It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbaas (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: I never saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) so keen to make sure he fasted any day and preferring it over another except this day, the day of ‘Ashoora’, and this month – meaning Ramadaan. Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 1867.

Can i touch my girl or boy before marriage(Dating)?

Allaah says
“And come not near to unlawful sex. Verily, it is a Faahishah (i.e. anything that transgresses its limits: a great sin, and an evil way that leads one to hell unless Allaah Forgives him)”[al-Isra’ 17:32]

In this verse Allah clearly mentions do not come near to unlawful sex, that which mean touching ,kissing or hugging an unlawful person without doubt it will lead to unlawful relationship. So first of all to Obey Allah we are bond to be away from such act.

Now the problem with younger generation and other who thinks this lawful is due to films or Dramas and western culture and advertisement ;and some are proud of such acts too.And some of them grant dating as a mean of finding his or her soul mate even though there is no room for such act is Islam.

And i would love to clear an important misconception about adultery, according to Islam Zina (adultery, fornication) does not refer only to penetration, rather there is the zina of the hand, which is touching that which is forbidden, and the zina of the eyes, which is looking at that which is forbidden, even though zina that is committed with the private parts, is the zina which is punishable with the hadd punishment.

It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Allaah has decreed for every son of Adam his share of zina, which he will inevitably commit. The zina of the eyes is looking, the zina of the tongue is speaking, one may wish and desire, and the private parts confirm that or deny it.”Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 5889; Muslim, 2657.

It is not permissible for the Muslim to long for the things that lead to zina, such as kissing, being alone, touching and looking, for all these things are haraam (forbidden) and lead to the greater evil which is zina. And zina will surely lead to hell.

For that Allah says "Tell the believing men to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things), and protect their private parts (from illegal sexual acts). That is purer for them. Verily, Allaah is All‑Aware of what they do.And tell the believing women to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things), and protect their private parts (from illegal sexual acts)”[al-Noor 24:30-31]

So may Allah protect us from such act...May Allah make us attain purity by lowering our gazes insha allah.

Amazing Story of the boy and a king mentioned by Prophet (peace be upon him) {Story of people of trench mentioned in Surah Burooj}

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:

«Among the people who came before you, there was a king who had a sorcerer, and when that sorcerer became old, he said to the king:

"I have become old and my time is nearly over, so please send me a boy whom I can teach magic.''

So, he sent him a boy and the sorcerer taught him magic. Whenever the boy went to the sorcerer, he sat with a monk who was on the way and listened to his speech and admired them.

So, when he went to the sorcerer, he passed by the monk and sat there with him; and on visiting the sorcerer the latter would thrash him. So, the boy complained about this to the monk. The monk said to him, "Whenever you are afraid of the sorcerer, say to him: `My people kept me busy.' And whenever you are afraid of your people, say to them: `The sorcerer kept me busy.'

So the boy carried on like that (for some time). Then a huge terrible creature appeared on the road and the people were unable to pass by. The boy said:

"Today I shall know whether the sorcerer is better or the monk is better.''

So, he took a stone and said, "O Allah! If the deeds and actions of the monk are liked by You better than those of the sorcerer, then kill this creature so that the people can cross (the road).'' Then he struck it with a stone killing it and the people passed by on the road.

The boy came to the monk and informed him about it. The monk said to him, "O my son! Today you are better than I, and you have achieved what I see! You will be put to trial. And in case you are put to trial, do not inform (them) about me."

Curing the Blind

The boy used to treat the people suffering from congenital blindness, leprosy, and other diseases. There was a courtier of the king who had become blind and he heard about the boy. He came and brought a number of gifts for the boy and said, "All these gifts are for you on the condition that you cure me.''

The boy said, "I do not cure anybody; it is only Allah who cures people. So, if you believe in Allah and supplicate to Him, He will cure you.''

So, he believed in and supplicated to Allah, and Allah cured him.

Later, the courtier came to the king and sat at the place where he used to sit before. The king said,

"Who gave you back your sight''

The courtier replied, "My Lord.''

The king then said, "I did''

The courtier said, "No, my Lord and your Lord - Allah''

The king said, "Do you have another Lord beside me''

The courtier said, "Yes, your Lord and my Lord is Allah.''

The king tortured him and did not stop until he told him about the boy. So, the boy was brought to the king and he said to him, "O boy! Has your magic reached to the extent that you cure congenital blindness, leprosy and other diseases''

He said, "I do not cure anyone. Only Allah can cure.''

The king said, "Me''

The boy replied, "No.''

The king asked, "Do you have another Lord besides me''

The boy answered, "My Lord and your Lord is Allah.''

So, he tortured him also until he told about the monk. Then the monk was brought to him and the king said to him, "Abandon your religion.'' The monk refused and so the king ordered a saw to be brought which was placed in the middle of his head and he fell, sawn in two.

Then it was said to the man who used to be blind, "Abandon your religion.'' He refused to do so, and so a saw was brought and placed in the middle of his head and he fell, sawn in two.

Guarded by God

Then the boy was brought and it was said to him, "Abandon your religion.''

He refused and so the king sent him to the top of such and such mountain with some people. He told the people, "Ascend up the mountain with him till you reach its peak, then see if he abandons his religion; otherwise throw him from the top.'' They took him and when they ascended to the top, he said: "O Allah! Save me from them by any means that You wish.'' So, the mountain shook and they all fell down and the boy came back walking to the king.

The king said, "What did your companions (the people I sent with you) do''

The boy said: "Allah saved me from them.''»

So, the king ordered some people to take the boy on a boat to the middle of the sea, saying: "If he renounces his religion (well and good), but if he refuses, drown him.'' So, they took him out to sea and he said: "O Allah! Save me from them by any means that you wish.'' So they were all drowned in the sea

Then the boy returned to the king and the king said, "What did your companions do?''

The boy replied, "Allah, saved me from them.''

Then he said to the king, "You will not be able to kill me until you do as I order you. And if you do as I order you, you will be able to kill me.''

The king asked: "And what is that?''

The boy said: "Gather the people in one elevated place and tie me to the trunk of a tree; then take an arrow from my quiver and say: `In the Name of Allah, the Lord of the boy.' If you do this, you will be able to kill me.''»

So he did this, and placing an arrow in the bow, he shot it, saying, "In the Name of Allah, the Lord of the boy.'' The arrow hit the boy in the temple, and the boy placed his hand over the arrow wound and died.

The people proclaimed, "We believe in the Lord of the boy!” Then it was said to the king, "Do you see what has happened that which you feared has taken place. By Allah, all the people have believed (in the Lord of the boy).'' So the king ordered that ditches be dug at the entrances to the roads and it was done, and fires were kindled in them. Then the king said: "Whoever abandons his religion, let him go, and whoever does not, throw him into the fire.''

The people were struggling and scuffling in the fire, until a woman and her baby whom she was breast-feeding came and it was as if she was being somewhat hesitant of falling into the fire, so her baby said to her: "Be patient mother! For verily, you are following the truth!''» (Ahmad).

Do you want Allah to conceal your mistakes?

As a Muslim we have certain duty to be fulfill toward our fellow Muslim brother or sister.we are bond to care and help each other in need and enjoin  good deeds and in need of advice we need to advice him/her and conceal his/her mistake from others. Today in this article I am willing to write about concealing or hiding the fault of a fellow brother or a sister. By exposing ones fault or mistake Muslim brother/sister they go through pain , stress and disappointment ,a believer do not leave his fellow Muslim under such trial as

The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon) said: “The likeness of the believers in their mutual love, mercy and compassion is that of the body; when one part of it is in pain, the rest of the body joins it in restlessness and fever.” Al-Bukhaari (6011) and Muslim (2586)

All of us are human and we commit sins and do mistake but best among us repent our mistake as soon as we commit. Some of them commit sin or mistakes but they do not do it openly. Anyone who comes to know of that has to advise the person and cover his faults. And some of them commit sin openly. They should also be advised, and others should be warned against them to whatever extent is appropriate.

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) as saying: The servant (who conceals) the faults of others in this world, Allah would conceal his faults on the Day of Resurrection. [Sahih Muslim]

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, "Beware of suspicion, for it is the worst of false tales and don't look for the other's faults and don't spy and don't hate each other, and don't desert (cut your relations with) one another. O Allah's slaves, be brothers!" - Sahih Al Bukhari, Vol. 8 Number 717

Narrated Aisha: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "I do not like to speak of anyone's faults even if I should receive such and such." Tirmidhi

And on another occasion: "Each of you is the mirror of his brother, so if he sees any fault in him he should wipe it away." - Al-Tirmidhi, Hadith 1286

So insha allah will conceal the mistakes of our brothers and help our day of resurrection insha allah..
Ya Allah forgive all our sins and mistakes.

Let celebrate Eid in the authentic way

1.Doing ghusl before going out to the prayer.

2.Adorning oneself on the occasion of Eid.

3.Eating before going out to pray on Eid al-Fitr

hadeeth narrated by al-Bukhaari from Anas ibn Maalik, who said that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used not to go out on the morning of Eid al-Fitr until he had eaten some dates… of which he would eat an odd number. Al-Bukhaari, 95

4.Takbeer on the day of Eid

This is one of the great sunnah that we should practice
Al-Mahaamili narrated with a saheeh isnaad also from Ibn Mas’ood: “Allaahu akbaru kabeera, Allaahu akbaru kabeera, Allaahu akbar wa ajallu, Allaahu akbar wa Lillaah il-hamd (Allaah is Most Great indeed, Allaah is Most Great indeed, Allaah is most Great and Glorified, Allaah is Most Great and to Allaah be praise).” See al-Irwa’, 3/126.

5.offering eid prayer in jammah

The Eid prayer is one where the imam attends and leads the people in praying two rak’ahs. ‘Umar (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: “The prayer of al-Fitr is two rak’ahs and the prayer of al-Adha is two rak’ahs, complete and not shortened, on the tongue of your Prophet, and the one who fabricates lies is doomed.” Narrated by al-Nasaa’i, 1420 and Ibn Khuzaymah. Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Nasaa’i.

In the first rak’ah he should say Takbeerat al-ihraam (say “Allaahu akbar” to start the prayer), after which he should say six or seven more takbeers, because of the hadeeth of ‘Aa’ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her), “The takbeer of al-Fitr and al-Adha is seven takbeers in the first rak’ah and five takbeers in the second, apart from the takbeer of rukoo’.” Narrated by Abu Dawood and classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Irwa’ al-Ghaleel, 639.

6.Offering the prayer in open ground

It was narrated that Abu Sa’eed said: The Messenger of Allaah SAWS (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to come out on the day of al-Fitr and al-Adha to the prayer place, and the first thing he would do was to offer the prayer. Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 956

7.It is prescribed for Muslim women who is menstruating to go out to the prayer place on the day of Eid, to offer the Eid prayer with the Muslims(not showing off a adornment)

Al-Bukhaari (324) and Muslim (890) narrated that Umm ‘Atiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) commanded us to bring out on al-Fitr and al-Adha the girls who had reached puberty, menstruating women and women in seclusion. The menstruating women were to keep away from the prayer but to witness goodness and the du’aa’ of the Muslims. I said: O Messenger of Allah, one of us may not have a jilbaab. He said: “Let her sister lend her a jilbaab to wear.”

8.Staying aware of the quthba (speech) given after prayer

9. Offering congratulations

It was narrated that Jubayr ibn Nufayr said: When the companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) met one another on the day of Eid, they would say to one another, “May Allaah accept (good deeds) from us and from you.” Ibn Hajar said, its isnaad is hasan. Al-Fath, 2/446.

10. Going to the prayer by one route and returning by another

It was narrated that Jaabir ibn ‘Abd-Allaah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: On the day of Eid, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to vary his route. Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 986.

Virtue of night of Power(Qadr) for seekers of Laylathul qadr ?

Laylat ul-Qadr is the most blessed night of the holy month of Ramadhaan. It is associated with the sending down of the holy Qur’an, the last Book of Allah on his last Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam), for the guidance of mankind. A person who misses it has indeed missed a great amount of good .As holy Qur’an, describes this Night as following

“We have indeed revealed this (message) in the Night of Power: And what will explain to you what the Night of Power is? The Night of Power is better than a thousand months. Therein come down the Angels and the Spirit (Jibraeel) by Allah’s permission, on every errand: Peace! This until the rise of Morn!” (Surah 97)

The Night of Power is the night of spiritual bliss. Our Prophet (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) is reported to have said concerning Ramadhaan:“Verily this month has come to you; and therein is a night which is better than a thousand Months. Whosoever is deprived of it, is deprived of all good; and none is deprived of its good except a totally unfortunate person”. (Ibn Majah)

Abu Hurayrah (radhiallahu anhu) narrated that the Messenger (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said: "Whoever stands (in qiyaam) in Laylat ul-Qadr [and it is facilitated for him] out of faith and expectation (of Allah's reward), will have all of his previous sins forgiven." [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

Hazrath Aisha has narrated another saying:“I asked: O Messenger of Allah! Tell me if I were to find a Night of Power, what should I recite therein?” Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) advised her to recite:

اَللَّهُمَّ اِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ ، تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي
Al-laa-hum-ma in-na-ka ‘afoow-wan tu-hib-bul-’af wa fa-fu ‘an-ni. which mean:O Allah! You are Forgiving, You love forgiveness, so forgive me. (Bukhari).

Great blessing only for ummah of Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam)

The Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) said: “Laylatul Qadrhas been bestowed by Allah to my Ummah (People). It was not given to any people before this.” (Dur-Mansoor).

Better than a thousand months?

A thousand months are equivalent to 83 years and 4 months. Fortunate is the person who spends this night in prayer. The man or woman, who prays for the whole night during this Night, will deserve blessings and reward for the period as if he or she had been praying for eighty three years and four months consecutively. Since the Night of Power is better than one thousand months no one can actually measure the extent as to how much better it is.
Which Night is it?

Although there are different reports in different traditions regarding the exact night, it is almost unanimous that the blessed night occurs in one of the last ten nights of Ramadhaan and more probably in one of the last ten odd nights i.e. 2lst, 23rd, 25th 27th or 29th night.

It was therefore the practice of the Holy Prophet (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) and his companions to make I’tikaaf in the Mosque for the whole time offering Divine service during the last ten days of Ramadhaan.

Aisha (Radhiallaahu Anha) reported that the Apostle of Allah said:“Search for the Blessed Night in the odd (nights) from the last ten (nights) of Ramadhaan” (Bukhari).

Seven habits of a good believer......

  1. Faith and righteous deeds
“Whoever works righteousness — whether male or female — while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him We will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and We shall pay them certainly a reward in proportion to the best of what they used to do (i.e. Paradise in the Hereafter).”
[al-Nahl 16:97]

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) expressed this in a saheeh hadeeth (authentic report) in which he said: “How wonderful is the situation of the believer, for all his affairs are good. If something good happens to him, he gives thanks for it and that is good for him; if something bad happens to him, he bears it with patience, and that is good for him. This does not apply to anyone but the believer.” (Narrated by Muslim, no. 2999).

2.Being kind to people in word and deed

“There is no good in most of their secret talks save (in) him who orders Sadaqah (charity in Allah’s Cause), or Ma‘roof (Islamic Monotheism and all the good and righteous deeds which Allah has ordained), or conciliation between mankind; and he who does this, seeking the good Pleasure of Allah, We shall give him a great reward.
[al-Nisa 4:114]

3.Being patience in tensions

And seek help through patience and prayer, and indeed, it is difficult except for the humbly submissive [to Allah ]

4.focusing all one’s thoughts on the present day

And not worrying about the future or grieving about the past. Hence the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sought refuge with Allah from worry and regret, from regret for things in the past which cannot be put right or changed, and worry which may come because of fear for the future. So one should focus only on the present day, and focus one's efforts on getting things right today. If a person is focused on the present, he will do things properly and forget about worry and regret.

5.Repentance and seeking forgivness for all the past sins and asking Allah to help to protect from evil thoughts

{But whosoever repents after his crime and does righteous good deeds (by obeying Allaah), then verily, Allaah will pardon him (accept his repentance). Verily, Allaah is Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful } [Al-Maa’idah:39 – interpretation of the meaning

“Truly, Allaah loves those who turn unto Him in repentance and loves those who purify themselves”[al-Baqarah 2:222]

6.Remember Allah

One of the greatest means of feeling content and relaxed and of acquiring peace of mind is to remember Allah a great deal (dhikr). That has a great effect in bringing contentment and peace of mind, and relieving worry and distress. Allah says: "Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest"
[al-Ra'd 13:28]

7.Look at the people who has less blessing than you

If a person experiences anxiety and distress because of a disaster, then one of the most effective means of relieving himself of that is to think of the worst scenario to which that may lead, and try to accept what is at present.

RAMADHAN MUBARAK TO ALL

Wishes from Islam is the best........... RAMADHAN MUBARAK
  • Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, "Fasting is a shield (or a screen or a shelter). So, the person observing fasting should avoid sexual relation with his wife and should not behave foolishly and impudently, and if somebody fights with him or abuses him, he should tell him twice, 'I am fasting." The Prophet added, "By Him in Whose Hands my soul is, the smell coming out from the mouth of a fasting person is better in the sight of Allah than the smell of musk. (Allah says about the fasting person), 'He has left his food, drink and desires for My sake. The fast is for Me. So I will reward (the fasting person) for it and the reward of good deeds is multiplied ten times." (saheeh Bhukhari)

  • Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, "When Ramadan begins, the gates of Paradise are opened."

  • Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, "When the month of Ramadan starts, the gates of the heaven are opened and the gates of Hell are closed and the devils are chained."

The best ways to prepare for the month of Ramadaan ...

1 –Sincere repentance

It is important to hasten to repent from all our sins which affected our eman or other humans. so that we can start our acts of worship with a clean heart and peaceful mind.

Allah says "And turn to Allah in repentance, all of you, O believers, that you might succeed."[al-Noor 24:31]

Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “O people, repent to Allaah for I repent to him one hundred times each day.” Narrated by Muslim (2702).

2 –Du’aa’ (supplication)

The Muslim should ask his Lord to let him live until Ramadaan with a strong religious commitment and good physical health, and we should ask Allah to help us obey our lord during the month and make him of the guided people , and ask Him to accept our good deeds. And protect us from all the evils.

3-write down  your Ramadhan time table

If you write down how your ibadah (acts of woprship)it would be be easy for you to attain the fruits of ramadhan .For example if you can read at least 4 pages of Quran after every prayer you could finish reciting the whole quran in the month of Ramadhan insha allah .So planning for Ramadhan will make us gain the maximum during the month.

4– Rejoicing at the approach of the blessed month

The arrival of Ramadaan is one of the great blessings that Allaah bestows upon His Muslim slave, because Ramadaan is one of the occasions of good in which the gates of Paradise are opened and the gates of Hell are closed. It is the month of the Qur’aan, with a blessed night of power.

Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Say, "In the bounty of Allah and in His mercy - in that let them rejoice; it is better than what they accumulate."[Yoonus 10:58]

5– Seeking knowledge in order to be able to follow the rulings on fasting and to understand the virtues of Ramadaan read about them in books or websites or learn them from a teacher or a preacher.
 http://ssumaiya.blogspot.com/2013/07/ramdhan-reminders.html

6 – Hastening to complete any tasks that may distract the Muslim from doing acts of worship.
such as building or making the damages in your house or cleaning all the stuffs and shopping for eid etc...

7– Sitting with one’s family members
wife and children – to tell them of the rulings on fasting and encourage the young ones to fast Give them small gift to encourage them fast on this month.

8– Reading Qur’aan

Abu Bakr al-Balkhi said: The month of Rajab is the month for planting, the month of Sha’baan is the month of irrigating the crops, and the month of Ramadaan is the month of harvesting the crops. Make sure you read quran and train your kids too

And Allaah is the Source of strength.

Welcome back Sha'ban.....Fasting in the month of shaban?

Alhamdulillah we've reached the month of Shaban, this is the name of the (eighth) month of the Islamic lunar calendar, this is a month that appears between the months of Rajab and Ramadan.

In this article I would like to write on the topic "Fasting in month of Sha'ban,(Welcome back Sha'ban)" as it was practiced by our beloved prophet Muhammad (sal).

Virtue of fasting in the month of shaban

Usamah ibn Zayd (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "I said, 'O Messenger of Allah, I do not see you fasting in any other month like you fast in Sha'ban.' He said, 'That is a month to which people do not pay attention, between Rajab and Ramadan, and it is a month in which deeds are lifted up to the Lord of the Worlds. I like for my deeds to be lifted up when I am fasting.'" (Narrated by al-Nasa'i).

The phrase "Sha'ban is a month to which people do not pay attention, between Rajab and Ramadan" indicates that because it comes between two important months, the Sacred Month of Rajab and the month of fasting, people are preoccupied with those two months and they do not pay attention to Sha'ban. Many people think that fasting in Rajab is better than fasting in Sha'ban, because Rajab is one of the Sacred Months, but this is not the case.

It was said that his wives used to make up the days that they missed of Ramadan in Sha'ban, so he used to fast because of that. This is the opposite of what was reported from 'A'ishah, that she used to delay making up days that she had missed in Ramadan until Sha'ban because she was too busy with the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) to fast.

Another benefit of fasting in Sha'ban is that it is a kind of training for the Ramadan fast, in case a person finds it difficult to fast when Ramadan starts; if he fasts in Sha'ban he will have gotten used to fasting and he will feel strong and energetic when Ramadan comes. Sha'ban is like an introduction to Ramadan and it has some things in common with Ramadan, such as fasting, reciting Qur'an and giving in charity.

Fasting Entire month of Shaban ?
'A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "The Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him - PBUH) used to fast until we thought he would never break his fast, and not fast until we thought he would never fast. I never saw the Messenger of Allah fasting for an entire month except in Ramadan, and I never saw him fast more than he did in Sha'ban." (Narrated by al-Bukhari and Muslim).

From the above mentioned hadith it is clear that prophet muhammed (sal) did not fast completely in the month of shaban but compared to other month he fasted most of the days.A group of scholars say that the Prophet did not fast all of Sha'ban, but he fasted most of it. This is supported by a report in Saheeh Muslim narrated from 'A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her), who said: "I never knew of him - meaning the Prophet (PBUH) - fasting for any entire month apart from Ramadan." According to another report also narrated by Muslim, A'ishah said: "I never saw him fast for any entire month from the time he came to Madeenah, apart from Ramadan."

Ibn Hajar (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "He observed more voluntary fasts in Sha'ban than in any other month, and he used to fast most of Sha'ban."

It was reported in al-Bukhari and Muslim that Ibn ‘Abbas said: “The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) did not fast any entire month apart from Ramadan.” Ibn ‘Abbas regarded it as makrooh to fast any entire month apart from Ramadan. Ibn Hajar (may Allah have mercy on him) said: “He observed more voluntary fasts in Sha’ban than in any other month, and he used to fast most of Sha’ban.”

Month of Rajab....Do we have Special Sunnah Fasting?

The month of Rajab is one of the sacred months of which Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Verily, the number of months with Allaah is twelve months (in a year), so was it ordained by Allaah on the Day when He created the heavens and the earth; of them four are Sacred (i.e. the 1st, the 7th, the 11th and the 12th months of the Islamic calendar). That is the right religion, so wrong not yourselves therein”
[al-Tawbah 9:36]

With regard to fasting the month of Rajab, there is no saheeh hadeeth to indicate that there is any special virtue in fasting all or part of this month or just on 27th day of this month. What some people do, singling out some days of Rajab for fasting, believing that they are better than others, has no basis in sharee’ah.

But there is a report from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) which indicates that it is mustahabb to fast during the sacred months (and Rajab is one of the sacred months).
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Fast some days of the sacred months and not others.” Narrated by Abu Dawood, 2428; classed as da’eef by al-Albaani in Da’eef Abi Dawood.

Even if this hadeeth were saheeh, it indicates that it is mustahabb to fast during the sacred months. So if a person fasts during Rajab because of this, and he also fasts in the other sacred months, there is nothing wrong with that. But singling out Rajab for fasting is not right.

Fasting in Rajab is no better than fasting in any other month, except that it is one of the sacred months. There is no report in the saheeh Sunnah to suggest that there is anything special about fasting in this month.

Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen (may Allaah have mercy on him) was asked about fasting on the twenty-seventh of Rajab and spending that night in prayer. He replied: Fasting on the twenty-seventh of Rajab and spending that night in prayer is a bid’ah (innovation), and every bid’ah is a going astray.

The hand which gives is better than which takes

Hadith

It was reported in Sahih Muslim on the authority of `Abdullah ibn `Umar that the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, was sitting on the pulpit and talking about charity and abstention from begging, he said: «The upper hand is better than the lower one, the upper being the one which bestows and the lower one which begs»

Hakim ibn Hizam, may Allah be pleased with him. narrated that the Prophet, peace be upon him, said: «The hand which gives is better than which takes and start giving first to your dependents. And the best object of charity is that which is given by a wealthy person (from the money which is left after his expenses) [out of surplus]. And whoever abstains from asking others for some financial help, Allah will give him and save him from asking others, Allah will make him self-sufficient»

Lessons gained from the Hadith

1- The Hadith contains exhortation to charity because the upper hand is the giver and the lower hand is the beggar and it is known that a giver is better than the taker.

2- The best kind of charity is the charity of a person to himself or to whom he must support.

3- A Muslim has to start by obligatory spending due on him such as spending on his wife and children then he may spend thereafter on whatever he wants.

4- The Hadith contains an instruction to start with the most important then the important in Shari`ah matters.

5- the best kind of charity is that a person gives after he keeps the amount which he shall use to meet his needs.

6- Exhortation to abstaining from begging people.

7- The permissibility of seeking money so as to spend on himself and those whom he supports then he may spend his money in the different channels of charity and righteous actions so that he may be one of the upper-handed people.

Extravagances...... view in light of Quran and sunnah

Assalamu Alilkum warahmathullahi wa barakathuhu My dear readers,
This article of mine will be based on a special topic called "extravagance vs Islam".The reason why I selected this particular topic is to explain my dear readers how bad its waste. We say people around the world is suffering without water, food, shelter, clothing or money and so on and we create videos or presentations or an article while we are spending extravagantly not only for our basic needs but also for our small unwanted pleasures .

It does not mean we should not spend but it means that we are accountable for each and every expenditure. And extravagance bring pride and will make us of arrogant boasters to which will abide hell.

Allah says in Quran

Extravagance: and eat and drink but waste not by extravagance, certainly He (Allah) likes not Al-Musrifin (those who waste by extravagance(7:31)
Proud: Verily He loves not the arrogant (proud).” [Surah Al Nahl 16:23]

Arrogant boasters:For Allah loves not any arrogant boaster.” [Surah Luqman 31:18]

In sunnah traditiopns of prophet ﷺ it is mentioned in many instance to stop extravagance:

Narrated Al-Mughira bin Shu`ba:The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Allah has forbidden for you, (1) to be undutiful to your mothers, (2) to bury your daughters alive, (3) to not to pay the rights of the others (e.g. charity, etc.) and (4) to beg of men (begging). And Allah has hated for you (1) vain, useless talk, or that you talk too much about others, (2) to ask too many questions, (in disputed religious matters) and (3) to waste the wealth (by extravagance).(Sahih al-Bukhari 2408)

Amro bin Shu’aib narrated on the authority of his father, on the authority of his grandfather (RAA), that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:“Eat, drink, wear clothes and give sadaqah but with neither extravagance nor pride.” (Related by Abu Dawud and Ahmad Book 16, Hadith 1496)

Hind bint `Utba (Abu Sufyan's wife) came and said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! Abu Sufyan is a miser. Is there any harm if I spend something from his property for our children?" He said, there is no harm for you if you feed them from it justly and reasonably (with no extravagance).(Sahih al-Bukhari 2460)

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "If a woman gives in charity from her house meals without wasting (i.e. being extravagant), she will get the reward for her giving, and her husband will also get the reward for his earning and the storekeeper will also get a similar reward. The acquisition of the reward of none of them will reduce the reward of the others."(Sahih al-Bukhari 2065)

May Allah protect us from Extravagance and stinginess and May he make us of the good doers and gift us with Jannathul Firdous

Are you suffering from illness?? then take a look what Islam says

Assalamu alikum My dear readers ,

Today my article will be focused on what Islam says about one who is suffering from illness, it can be you or someone whom you love so much .Still we must accept this hardship as we are here on this earth for only a short period and every illness is a trial for a mu'min. To support my saying I would love to select some Quran verses and saying of our beloved prophet (peace be upon him)

Allah says:
Verily, We shall put you to test with some fear, and hunger, and with some loss of wealth, lives, and offspring. And (O Muhammad) convey good tidings to those who are patient, who say, when inflicted by hardship, "Verily we are of God and verily to Him shall we return;" upon them is the blessings of Allah and His mercy. (2:155)

Following are hadiths of Muhammad  (peace be upon him) in which virtues of being sick is mentioned :

Narrated by 'Aisha(ral) (the wife of the Prophet) Allah's Apostle said, "No calamity befalls a Muslim but that Allah expiates some of his sins because of it, even though it were the prick he receives from a thorn."(sahih Bhukhari)

Narrated by Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri(ral) and Abu Huraira(ral),The Prophet said, "No fatigue, nor disease, nor sorrow, nor sadness, nor hurt, nor distress befalls a Muslim, even if it were the prick he receives from a thorn, but that Allah expiates some of his sins for that."(sahih Bhukhari)

Hadrat Abdullah bin Mas'ood(R.A.) reports that Rasulullah(Sallallaahu alaiyhi wassallam) said, 'Whenever a Muslim experiences any hardship like sickness (etc.), Allah Ta'ala wipes away his sins just as a tree sheds its leaves during autumn.' (Bukhaari and Muslim)

Rasulullah(Sallallaahu alaiyhi wassallam) has also said, '(Sometimes) a very high rank (in Allah's sight) is decreed for a Mu'min which he could never have attained by virtue of his deeds, so Allah Ta'ala lets him experience some hardship, whether it be physical, material (financial, etc.) or concerning his children. Then, He makes him patient and lets him attain the position decreed for him.' (Ahmad, Abu Dawood)

Therefore, although it is bitter to bear calamities and misfortunes with patience, we should consider it sweet in view of the great bounty attainable through it. The difficulty and hardship of only a few days will be followed by a life of eternal happiness, Insha-Allah.

Amazing chance for patient

Rasulullah(Sallallaahu alaiyhi wassallam) has said,'When you visit a sickperson, then tell him to make dua for you, because his duas are (accepted readily) like the duas of the Angels.' (Ibn Maajah)

Rasulullah(Sallallaahu alaiyhi wassallam) has also said, 'The dua of a sick person is not rejected until he recovers from his sickness.' (Ibn Abiddunyaa)

Dua for sickness

Bismillah thrice and say (the following) seven times:
A'oozu bi'izza tillaahi wa qudratihi min sharri maa ajidu wa uhaaziru
I seek protection in the great might of Allah and His power against the evil I am
experiencing and dread. (Sahih Muslim 2202)

"O Lord of the people, remove this pain and cure it, You are the one who cures and there is no one besides You who can cure, grant such a cure that no illness remains".

HOW TO REACT TO CARTOONS OF THE PROPHET MUHAMMAD ﷺ

Assalamu Alikum

My dearest Readers,

This article of mine will tell you how we should react on the cartoonists who published a picture saying it is the picture of our respected  Prophet ﷺ who guided us from darkness of this worldly desire toward a brightness of this life to attain Jannah. The publishing of cartoons will hurt the sentiments of 1.8 billion Muslims around the world, as well as millions of non-Muslims who respect the great personality of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). For every Muslim, love of the Prophet ﷺ is a necessary part of his/her faith. He is dearer to us than our mothers, fathers, sons & daughters. We prefer him to more than our own self.

As reveled by our beloved prophetﷺ as a Muslim we face much trials and tributes in this world.
The first of these narrations is that of Thawban - radiallahu 'anhu He related that the Messenger of Allahﷺ said: "The nations are about to call each other and set upon you, just as diners set upon food." It was said: "Will it be because of our small number that day?" He said: "Rather, on that day you will be many, but you will be like foam, like the foam on the river. And Allah will remove the fear of you from the hearts of your enemies and will throw wahn (weakness) into your hearts."Someone said: "O Messenger of Allah! What is wahn?" He said: "Love of the world and the hatred for death."

And today most of us except one who are guided has more love toward dunya and are negligence about akhira and are particularly not bothered about others and happy about his or her peaceful life. And today we see that happens to all Muslims around us and still some of us does not even care to pray for them at least.May Allah guide all of us.

Recently a cartoonist from France magazine named Charlie Hebdo has been accused for drawing a cartoon picture and saying it as the picture  of our beloved Muhammadﷺ so till today more than 50 Islamophobic attack has been recorded. May Allah protect all the Muslims who suffer around the word because of their faith InshaAllah.

How should one react on this issue?

Be patience
As it is clear that the cartoons are to be published again, but our reaction must be a reflection of the teachings of the one we love ﷺ. Enduring patience, tolerance, gentleness and mercy as was the character of our beloved Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is the best and immediate way to respond. With dignified nobility we must be restrained, as the Qur’an says:

“And when the ignorant speak with them, they say peace.” 25:63

Elevated your remembrance
As Muslims have to remember that by depicting the Prophet ﷺ, no one can ever tarnish his image and his personality, as he is way beyond what is depicted. So we should spend much of our time on prayers, sending salawaat and blessings to his beloved personality. May Allah’s mercy, peace & blessing be upon his soul.

Speak of your love for the Prophet ﷺ
Speak of your love for the Prophet ﷺ and do not be shy to let your non-Muslims friends know your justified anger at the mockery that is made of our faith. People need to know how much we love our Prophet ﷺ.Learn more & share more about the great Prophet Muhammed ﷺ.
