How about Muslims who celebrate Christmas?

Praise be to Allaah.

Today my article will be about Muslim celebrating Christmas. As we live in a globalized world we see Muslims from different regions are celebrating Christmas and are happy to announce people about their preparation and celebration of Christmas.

What is Christmas?

According to google dictionary "the annual Christian festival celebrating Christ's birth, held on 25 December in the Western Church."

What does Islam say about birth of Jesus(pbuh)?

And mention, [O Muhammad], in the Book [the story of] Mary, when she withdrew from her family to a place toward the east. And she took, in seclusion from them, a screen. Then We sent to her Our Angel, and he represented himself to her as a well-proportioned man.She said, "Indeed, I seek refuge in the Most Merciful from you, [so leave me], if you should be fearing of Allah ."He said, "I am only the messenger of your Lord to give you [news of] a pure boy.She said, "How can I have a boy while no man has touched me and I have not been unchaste?"He said, "Thus [it will be]; your Lord says, 'It is easy for Me, and We will make him a sign to the people and a mercy from Us. And it is a matter [already] decreed.' "So she conceived him, and she withdrew with him to a remote place.
(Quran19:16-22)

As a muslim we beleive Jesus was a prophet and not a son of god or god himself.Celebrating birth day is not an Islamic practice but an innovation(bidah). The Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) told us that: “Every innovation is going astray, and every going astray will be in the Fire.” Narrated by Muslim (867) and an-Nasaa’i (1578)

Was jesus(pbuh) born on day of christmas?

Answer from christians researchers : First, we know that shepherds were in the fields watching their flocks at the time of Jesus’ birth (Luke 2:7-8). Shepherds were not in the fields during December. According to Celebrations: The Complete Book of American Holidays , Luke’s account “suggests that Jesus may have been born in summer or early fall. Since December is cold and rainy in Judea, it is likely the shepherds would have sought shelter for their flocks at night” (p. 309).

Is Christmas a festival of Christians?

Yes! no doubt

Can Muslims follow Christians or celebrate their festival ?

Ibn ’Umar (RAA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“He who imitates any people (in their actions) is considered to be one of them.” Related by Abu Dawud graded it as Sahih.

Celebrating any other festival apart from Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha, and the weekly “Eid” which is Friday (Yawm al-Jumu‘ah) is not allowed even if it was celebrated as a means of drawing close to Allah or such as celebrating the Prophet’s Birthday (Mawlid); or it is an imitation of the kuffaar(disbeleivers) all these come under innovation or introducing someting new  to the completed religion of Islam (bidah).

So celebrating Christmas is forbidden! To support Iwill add some fatwas from great scholars of Islam:

Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Similarly it is forbidden for the Muslims to imitate the kuffaar by holding parties on these occasions, or exchanging gifts, or distributing sweets or other foods, or taking time off work and so on, because the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Whoever imitates a people is one of them.”

Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah said in his book Iqtida’ al-Siraat al-Mustaqeem Mukhaalifat Ashaab al-Jaheem: Imitating them on some of their festivals implies that one is happy with the falsehood they are following, and that could make them (the non-Muslims) take this opportunity to mislead those who are weak in faith.

Do i need to give a special care to the month of Muharram?

Why is the month of Muharram so special?

Indeed, the number of months with Allah is twelve [lunar] months in the register of Allah [from] the day He created the heavens and the earth; of these, four are sacred. That is the correct religion, so do not wrong yourselves during them. And fight against the disbelievers collectively as they fight against you collectively. And know that Allah is with the righteous [who fear Him].[Soorat at-Tawbah 9:36].

It was narrated from Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him): “… The year is twelve months, of which four are sacred: three consecutive months, Dhu al-Qa‘dah, Dhu al-Hijjah and Muharram, and Rajab of Mudar which comes between Jumaada and Sha‘baan.”Narrated by al-Bukhaari (2958).

From the quranic verse above and the hadith it is crystal clear that muharram is a sacred month among the four best month. Muharram is so called because it is a sacred (muharram) month and to confirm its sanctity. Allah's words (interpretation of the meaning): " ... so wrong not yourselves therein … " mean do not wrong yourselves in these sacred months, because sin in these months is worse than in other months. And this month is more important because in it there is a special days called Ashura and tasua. Now it is time to learn about Virtue of fasting on month of Muharram

Virtue of fasting on month of Muharram

Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said:"The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: 'The best of fasting after Ramadhan is fasting Allah's month of Muharram.' " Reported by Muslim, 1982

Which Day is 'Ashura' and why fasting on this day is so special?

An-Nawawi (may Allah have mercy on him) said:"'Ashura' and Tasu'a' are two elongated names [the vowels are elongated] as is stated in books on the Arabic language. Our companions said: 'Ashura' is the tenth day of Muharram and Tasu'a' is the ninth day. This is our opinion, and that of the majority of scholars.

Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said:"I never saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) so keen to fast any day and give it priority over any other than this day, the day of 'Ashura', and this month, meaning Ramadhan."Reported by Al-Bukhari, 1867

In another hadeeth on virtue of ashura it was reported as The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "For fasting the day of 'Ashura', I hope that Allah will accept it as expiation for the year that went before." [Reported by Muslim, 1976]

Why Should i fast on tasua?

'Abdullah ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) fasted on 'Ashura' and commanded the Muslims to fast as well, they said, 'O Messenger of Allah, it is a day that is venerated by the Jews and Christians.' The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, 'If I live to see the next year, in sha Allah, we will fast on the ninth day too.' But it so happened that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) passed away before the next year came." [Reported by Muslim, 1916]

An-Nawawi (may Allah have mercy on him) said:"The scholars – our companions and others – mentioned several reasons why it is mustahabb to fast on Tasu'a':The intention behind it is to be different from the Jews, who only venerate the tenth day.

Entering the Masjid for listening to lectures only during her periods ! what is the ruling?

The majority of fuqaha’ of the four madhhabs are of the view that it is not permissible for a menstruating women to stay in the mosque. They quoted as evidence for that the report narrated by al-Bukhaari (974) and Muslim (890) from Umm ‘Atiyyah who said: “He (the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)) commanded us on the two Eids to bring out the virgins and those who usually stayed in seclusion, but he told the menstruating women to keep away from the prayer-place of the Muslims.”

The scholars of the Standing Committee were asked :
They replied: It is not permissible for a woman to enter the mosque when she is menstruating or bleeding following childbirth… as for passing through, there is nothing wrong with that if it is necessary and there is no risk of her contaminating the mosque, because Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“nor when you are in a state of Janaaba (i.e. in a state of sexual impurity and have not yet taken a bath), except when travelling on the road (without enough water, or just passing through a mosque), till you wash your whole body”

[al-Nisa’ 4:43]

A menstruating woman is similar to one who is in a state of janaabah. And the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) told ‘Aa’ishah to fetch him something from the mosque when she was menstruating.e

Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen (may Allaah have mercy on him) was asked: Is it permissible for a menstruating woman to attend halaqahs in the mosque?

He replied: It is not permissible for a menstruating woman to stay in the mosque. As for passing through the mosque, there is nothing wrong with that, subject to the condition that there is no risk of the mosque being contaminated with the blood that is coming out of her. If it is not permissible for her to stay in the mosque, it is not permissible for her to go there to listen to halaqahs and recitation of Qur’aan, unless there is a place outside the mosque where the sound can reach via loudspeakers, in which case there is nothing wrong with her sitting there to listen to the dhikr. There is nothing wrong with a woman listening to dhikr and recitation of Qur’aan, as it is proven that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to lay his head in ‘Aa’ishah’s lap and recite Qur'aan when she was menstruating.

But it is not permissible for a menstruating woman to go to the mosque and stay there to listen to dhikr or Qur’aan recitation. Hence when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) heard, during the Farewell Pilgrimage, that Safiyyah was menstruating, he said: “Has she detained us?” because he thought that she had not done tawaaf al-ifaadah, but they said that she had already done it. This indicates that it is not permissible to stay in the mosque even for acts of worship. And it is proven that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) told women to go out to the Eid prayer-place to pray and remember Allaah (dhikr), but he told the menstruating women to keep away from the prayer-place itself.

Are you ready to practice this act which was loved by Prophet (pbuh)?

In this article i would love to write an article on act (sunnah )which was loved by Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) which is called I’tikaf which was practiced by him and his family especially during Ramadhan.

First let us understand what is I’tikaf ?

I’tikaf is retiring to a Masjid for worshipping Allah Almighty. It is one of the Sunnan that are authenticated in the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger (prayers peace and of Allah be upon him).

Allah Almighty says: "And do not have sexual relations with them (your wives) while you are in I‘tikâf (i.e. confining oneself in a Masjid for prayers and invocations leaving the worldly activities) in the Masjids" [Al-Baqarah 2:187]

Aa’ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her) who said that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to observe I’tikaf  during the last ten days of Ramadhan until Allah took his soul, then his wives observed I’tikaf  after he was gone. Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 2026; Muslim, 1172.

I’tikaf is has become a forgotten sunnah of these days, but this suunah has more value during Ramadhan than the rest of the year, but I’tikaf can be practiced even in normal days. The Muslim could begin his I’tikaf whenever he likes and end it whenever he likes. However, it is better to practice I’tikaf in the last ten of Ramadhan.I’tikaf is done to devote oneself for worshipping Allah in one of His Masjids to gain His grace and reward. And best during last ten days of ramadhan because he can be away from worldly affair and seek Lailatul Qadr (Night of Power) and devote to worship Allah in Lailatul Qadr!

How can a person perform I’tikaf?

The scholars are unanimously agreed that for a man, i‘tikaf is not valid unless it is done in the mosque, because Allah, may He be exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning): “And do not have sexual relations with them (your wives) while you are in I‘tikaf (i.e. confining oneself in a mosque for prayers and invocations leaving the worldly activities) in the mosques” [al-Baqarah 2:187]. So i‘tikaf is to be done specifically in the mosques.

I‘tikaaf in the last ten days of Ramadhan is Sunnah and mustahabb for men, and also for women if there is no danger of fitnah and there is a place that is only for women, and so long as it will not keep her away from her obligatory work, and it is done with the permission of her husband.

Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to stay in the mosque the whole time, and not leave it except to relieve himself. ‘Aa’ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her) said: “He would not enter his house for anything except for a need when he was observing i'tikaf.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 2029; Muslim, 297.

‘Aa’ishah said: The Sunnah is for the person in i'tikaaf not to visit the sick or attend funerals, or to be intimate with his wife. But there is nothing wrong with his going out for essential needs. Narrated by Abu Dawood, 2473; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Abi Dawood.

You are allowed to get out the Masjid for fulfilling your urgent needs such as going to the water closet or bringing food and drink, if there is no body to bring it to you. The same is applied to going to the doctor, if you became sick during your I’tikaf.

Note: it should not done for purpose of boasting.
“The reward of deeds depends upon the intentions and every person will get the reward according to what he has intended” [Agreed upon]

May Allah comfort our eyes with His worship and make us among the successful and accepted people. And may Allah forgive us and our parents and all Muslims. And peace and prayers of Allah be upon our prophet, Muhammad, and all his family and companions.

Excellence of Prayer at Night - Qiyam al-layl

Qiyaam al-layl(The night prayer ) is Sunnah mu’akkadah (a confirmed Sunnah) which plays a great role in strengthening one's faith and gaining more rewards. Many texts of the Qur’aan and Sunnah encourage it and speak of its high status and great reward. This Qiyaam al-layl(The night prayer ) is not performed only during Ramadhan as most of us practice, it is a spiritual activity which should be performed everyday. But in Ramdhan Qiyaam al-layl(The night prayer ) has multiplied good deeds as it is a blessed month.

when Allah says about those who stands at the night for prayer:
Is one who is devoutly obedient during periods of the night, prostrating and standing [in prayer], fearing the Hereafter and hoping for the mercy of his Lord, [like one who does not]? Say, "Are those who know equal to those who do not know?" Only they will remember [who are] people of understanding.[Az-Zumar 39:9]

And in another Quranic verse Allah states as:
Only those believe in Our verses who, when they are reminded by them, fall down in prostration and exalt [ Allah ] with praise of their Lord, and they are not arrogant. They arise from [their] beds; they supplicate their Lord in fear and aspiration, and from what We have provided them, they spend. And no soul knows what has been hidden for them of comfort for eyes as reward for what they used to do.   [al-Sajdah 32:15-17]

And in another Quranic verse Allah states as:
Verily, the Muttaqoon (the pious) will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs (in the Paradise),Taking joy in the things which their Lord has given them. Verily, they were before this Muhsinoon (good‑doers). They used to sleep but little by night [invoking their Lord (Allaah) and praying, with fear and hope]” [al-Dhaariyaat 51:15-17]

From this we may note the virtue of qiyaam al-layl and its good consequences that cannot be ignored; it is one of the means of avoiding the punishment of Hell and attaining Paradise. May Allaah make us among those who attain success thereby.

And prophet Muhammed (pbuh) said the excellency of Qiyaam al-layl and encouraged us to pray qiyaam al-layl in many ahaadeeth as follows:

"Abdullah bin Salam (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (PBUH) said, "O people, promote the greetings, feed (the poor and needy) and perform Salat when others are asleep so that you will enter Jannah safely." [At-Tirmidhi].

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The best prayer after the obligatory prayer is prayer at night.” Narrated by Muslim, 1163.

And he said: “You should pray qiyaam al-layl, for it is the custom of the righteous who came before you and it brings you closer to your Lord, and expiates sins and prevents misdeeds.” Narrated by al-Tirmidhi,

Al-Tirmidhi (1984) narrated that ‘Ali said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “In Paradise there are apartments the outside of which can be seen from the inside and the inside of which can be seen from the outside.” A Bedouin stood up and said: “Who are they for, O Messenger of Allaah?” He said: “They are for those who speak good words, feed others, fast regularly and pray to Allaah at night when people are sleeping.” Saheeh al-Tirmidhi.

New trend is to shake hand when you meet a person or when you are awarded!

In this article I would love to write about this new trend of socialism. In an award giving function I see our sisters wearing hijab (are Muslims) or brother holding a Muslim name shake hand with the person who awarded them(non mahram) casually. And when we encounter them they say "you know world is changed, why shouldn't we? this is the new trend ; technology is developed we are not in olden days. We just do shake hand to respect that personality”. My dear sister or brother who told you to change according to the time and society? and who taught you that it is the way to respect? and none of us told you not to use the technology! This article is written with a complete love for the society not to hurt anyone personally.

Let us Check whether this particular habit of shaking hand with non mahram is permitted ??

It is not permissible for a man or a woman who believes in Allaah and His Messenger to put his hand in the hand of a woman or man who is not permissible for him or who is not one of his mahrams even if he was a great scholar or ruler. Whoever does that has wronged himself that which means crossed the limits set by Allah and his prophet.

It was narrated that Ma’qil ibn Yassaar said: the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “For one of you to be stabbed in the head with an iron needle is better for him than that he should touch a woman who is not permissible for him.”
Narrated by al-Tabaraani in al-Kabeer, 486. Shaykh al-Albaani said in Saheeh al-Jaami’, 5045, that this hadeeth is saheeh.

This particular hadith itself state clearly that it is not permitted to shake hand with non mahram which is the first step to stop fitna (corruption) of the society.

There is another beautiful narration about shaking hand or touching non mahrem. If shaking hand was a sign of respect this hadith would not have been recorded.

‘Aa’ishah (ral)said: Whoever among the believing women agreed to that had passed the test, and when the women agreed to that, the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said to them: “Go, for you have given your oath of allegiance.’ No, by Allaah, the hand of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) never touched the hand of any woman, rather they would give their oath of allegiance with words only.” And ‘Aa’ishah said: “By Allaah, the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) only took the oath of allegiance from the women in the manner prescribed by Allaah, and the hand of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) never touched the hand of any woman. When he had taken their oath of allegiance he would say, ‘I have accepted your oath of allegiance verbally.’”
(narrated by Muslim, 1866)

So my dear Muslim brothers and sisters let us not be a victim of such cultures and acts which are not permitted. Surely this kind of act will bring corruption to the whole ummah (society).

How can i be among the Successful people?

All praise is for Allaah, Lord of the Worlds, who ordered us to follow His Messenger (sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) and to call to His Way, and may Allaah send praises and blessings of peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family, his companions, and those who truly follow them until the Day of Judgement.

Today my topic will be about calling people from darkness to light which is called Dawah. When the word da’wah is mentioned, we are generally talking about enjoining the good (Al-Ma’roof: Islamic monotheism and all that Islam orders one to do) and forbidding the evil (Al-Munkar: Polytheism, disbelief and all that Islam has forbidden) to Muslims as well as non-Muslims.

Allah says in the quran “Let there be a group of people amongst you inviting to all that is good, enjoining al-ma`roof [i.e. Islamic Monotheism and all that Islam orders one to do] and forbidding al-Munkar [polytheism and disbelief and all that Islam has forbidden]. And it is they who are successful.” [al-Qur’aan, Aal `Imraan (3):104]
Image result for dawah

Who are these group of people?

Da’wah is recognised by the majority of scholars as being obligatory upon every Muslim. Therefore by the act of da’wah we can fulfill our obligation and gain the love of  Allah .

And prophet (sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) said “Convey from me, even one verse.” [al-Bukhaaree]

Conveying the message therefore does not require a high level of scholarship, it is in fact a responsibility of each and every Muslim, according to his or her ability.

Why is it So important?

1.Get closer to Allah.

“…And My slave does not come close to Me with anything more beloved to Me than what I have made obligatory upon him. My slave continues to come nearer to Me through voluntary deeds until I love him, and when I love him, I become his ears with which he hears, I become his sight with which he sees, I become his hands with which he strikes, I become his legs with which he strides. If he asks Me, I shall surely grant his request.” [Bukhari]

2.To be among successful people

“Let there arise out of you a group of people inviting to all that is good, enjoining Al-Ma’roof (Islamic monotheism and all that Islam orders one to do) and forbidding Al-Munkar (Polytheism and disbelief and all that Islam has forbidden). And it is they who are successful.” [Qur’an: Chapter 3, Verse 104]

3.To be the best of the people

He says: You are the best of peoples, taken out for mankind. You enjoin what is right, forbid what is wrong, and believe in Allah. (Al-Imran:11O)

4.It is better than having the best of camel.

The Prophet(sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam)  in relation to this says:“By Allah, if a single person is guided by Allah through you, it will be better for you than the best of camels.” [Bukhari]

5.Ongoing charity after death

If a person is guided by you and he continue to do good deed from him his generation and friends ;even if you are dead you will be rewarded.

As the Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) perfectly says:“When a man dies, his good deeds come to an end except three: on going charity, beneficial knowledge and righteous offspring who will pray for him.” [Muslim]
To be among successful

6.You can help yourself escape from the questioning of Allah on the day of judgement.

The Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam)  talked about the consequences of those who do not spread possessed knowledge:“Whoever is asked about some knowledge that he knows, then he conceals it, he will be bridled with bridle of fire.” [Tirmidhi]

7.To be in the supplication of Allah his angels and all those in the earth

Also, as the Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) says:
“God, His angels and all those in the Heavens and on Earth, even ants in their ant-hills and fish in the water, call down blessings on those who instruct others in beneficial knowledge.” [Tirmidhi]

Amazing time for Supplicating .....part2

1. Late at night

At a certain time of the night, as the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “During the night there is a time when the Muslim does not ask for the good of this world and the Hereafter but it will be given to him, and that happens every night.” Narrated by Muslim, 757.

2. A certain time On Friday

The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) mentioned Friday and said: “During it there is a time when a Muslim slave does not stand and pray and ask Allaah for something, but He will give it to him,” and he gestured with his hand to indicate how short that time is. Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 935; Muslim, 852. See also question no. 21748.

3. At the Crowing of a Rooster

Abu Hurairah (RA) narrated that the Prophet (SAW) said: 'When you hear a rooster crowing, then ask Allah for His bounties, for it has seen an angel, and when you hear a donkey braying, then seek refuge in Allah from Shaitan, for it has seen a Shaitan' [Sahih al-Bukhari, Muslim, Ahmad, Sahih al-Jami #611]

“When you hear the crowing of a rooster, ask Allaah of His bounty, for he has seen an angel.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 2304; Muslim, 2729.

4. While visiting the sick, and dua made by the sick

Ali (RA) reported that the Prophet (SAW) said: 'When a Muslim visits his sick Muslim brother in the morning, seventy thousand angels make dua for his forgiveness till the evening. And when he visits him in the evening, seventy thousand angels make dua for his forgiveness till the morning, and he will be granted a garden for it in Jannah.'
[at-Tirmidhi, abu Dawud]

5. Dua immediately after wudu

Umar ibn Al-Khattab reported that the Prophet (SAW) said: 'There is not one of you that makes wudu, and does it perfectly, then says: I testify that there is no diety worthy of worship except Allah. he is Alone, having no partners. And I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and messenger', except that the eight gates of Paradise are opened for him, and he can enter into it through whichever one he pleases' [Muslim #234, abu Dawud #162, Ahmad, an-Nasa'i]

If you want to be accompanied by Prophet (Pbuh) in Jannah!

All the praises and thanks be to Allah, the All-Provider without limits, the Most Generous, the Bestower, and peace and blessings of Allah be upon Prophet Muhammad and his family and companions.

Today insha allah my article will be on the" importance of charity to orphans"...
First of all let me define who is an orphan ,the Arabic word for orphan is yatîm. Its linguistic meaning is simply "something that is singular and alone." When the word is used in the context of a human being, it means "a minor who has lost his or her father."

Generally, an orphaned child is confronted by poverty and has a weak position in society. A minor child in such a compromised set of circumstances possesses nothing, not even the knowledge of how to cope. How bitter their life would be if no one take care of them.

The life of this world is of happiness ,trouble and trials, sometimes as an adult and full grown up we struggle some bitter days which are really hard to cope up with. Don’t we see many orphans in the society due (sudden /normal )deaths ,wars and trials. Most of us think that it is the duty of rich, government, his/her own family or orphanages to look after them, which is completely wrong thinking. This kinds of thoughts come to most of us except those who are blessed is due to lack of knowledge in this religion.

Each and everyone one of us are bound to think and help such orphans who are weak and are confronted by poverty ;that is what Islam taught us.

Let me quote some hadith and Quran verses on virtue on importance of charity to orphans.

When Allah spoke about believers he says: “And they feed, for the love of Allah, the poor, the orphan, and the captive..." [Soorah al-Insaan, 8]

"And they ask you concerning orphans. Say: "The best thing is to work honestly in their property, and if you mix your affairs with theirs, then they are your brothers." [Surat Al-Baqarah 2:220]

Would you like your heart to soften and prayers answered?

The Messenger of Allah said, what translated means, "Would you like that your heart becomes soft and that you acquire what you need? Be merciful with the orphan, pat his head and feed him from what you eat. This will soften your heart, and enable you to get what you need." [At-Tabaraanee & As-Silsilah as-Saheehah]

If you want to be accompanied by Prophet (Pbuh) in Jannah!

The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, has said: "I and the one who looks after an orphan and provides for him will be like this in Paradise," showing his middle and index fingers and separating them a little" [Reported by Al-Bukhari]

The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, has said: "he who joins an orphan among Muslims in his food and drink until that he can provide for himself; verily he is assured to enter Paradise" [Al-Albani said: authentic ]

The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, has said: "The Compassionate One has mercy on those who are merciful. If you show mercy to those who are on the earth, He Who is in the heaven will show mercy to you." [Reported by Abu Dawud and At-Tirmidhi, authenticated by Al-Albani]

Hope this article will inspire you and me to sponsor or help an orphan even if it is with a small amount. Let us take care of them in this world so Allah will bless us in this world and next ....
May Allah forgive us and Guide us, help all who suffer, Ameen.
