If you want to be accompanied by Prophet (Pbuh) in Jannah!

All the praises and thanks be to Allah, the All-Provider without limits, the Most Generous, the Bestower, and peace and blessings of Allah be upon Prophet Muhammad and his family and companions.

Today insha allah my article will be on the" importance of charity to orphans"...
First of all let me define who is an orphan ,the Arabic word for orphan is yatîm. Its linguistic meaning is simply "something that is singular and alone." When the word is used in the context of a human being, it means "a minor who has lost his or her father."

Generally, an orphaned child is confronted by poverty and has a weak position in society. A minor child in such a compromised set of circumstances possesses nothing, not even the knowledge of how to cope. How bitter their life would be if no one take care of them.

The life of this world is of happiness ,trouble and trials, sometimes as an adult and full grown up we struggle some bitter days which are really hard to cope up with. Don’t we see many orphans in the society due (sudden /normal )deaths ,wars and trials. Most of us think that it is the duty of rich, government, his/her own family or orphanages to look after them, which is completely wrong thinking. This kinds of thoughts come to most of us except those who are blessed is due to lack of knowledge in this religion.

Each and everyone one of us are bound to think and help such orphans who are weak and are confronted by poverty ;that is what Islam taught us.

Let me quote some hadith and Quran verses on virtue on importance of charity to orphans.

When Allah spoke about believers he says: “And they feed, for the love of Allah, the poor, the orphan, and the captive..." [Soorah al-Insaan, 8]

"And they ask you concerning orphans. Say: "The best thing is to work honestly in their property, and if you mix your affairs with theirs, then they are your brothers." [Surat Al-Baqarah 2:220]

Would you like your heart to soften and prayers answered?

The Messenger of Allah said, what translated means, "Would you like that your heart becomes soft and that you acquire what you need? Be merciful with the orphan, pat his head and feed him from what you eat. This will soften your heart, and enable you to get what you need." [At-Tabaraanee & As-Silsilah as-Saheehah]

If you want to be accompanied by Prophet (Pbuh) in Jannah!

The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, has said: "I and the one who looks after an orphan and provides for him will be like this in Paradise," showing his middle and index fingers and separating them a little" [Reported by Al-Bukhari]

The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, has said: "he who joins an orphan among Muslims in his food and drink until that he can provide for himself; verily he is assured to enter Paradise" [Al-Albani said: authentic ]

The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, has said: "The Compassionate One has mercy on those who are merciful. If you show mercy to those who are on the earth, He Who is in the heaven will show mercy to you." [Reported by Abu Dawud and At-Tirmidhi, authenticated by Al-Albani]

Hope this article will inspire you and me to sponsor or help an orphan even if it is with a small amount. Let us take care of them in this world so Allah will bless us in this world and next ....
May Allah forgive us and Guide us, help all who suffer, Ameen.
