A forgotten Sunnah !

Today my article is going to be a about a Sunnah that is forgotten by most except some of us who are guided by Allah to follow many sunnahs. The forgotten Sunnah which I am writing today is about "As Suthra", Some of you might have heard this word "As Suthra" while others might have not even heard of it. Let us Study this sunnah using Ahadeeth!

What is "As Suthra" and what should i use as"As Suthra" ?

The suthra is mustahabb according to the majority of fuqaha’, The sutrah is a sort of partition in front of him to prevent people from walking in front of him and to enable him to focus properly on the actions of the prayer.

The sutrah is a confirmed Sunnah (Sunnah mu’akkadah). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “When one of you prays, let him pray facing a sutrah, and let him draw close to it.” Narrated by Abu Dawood with a jayyid isnaad.

And in another situation he (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Let one of you use a sutrah when praying, even if it is an arrow.” Narrated by Ahmad and by al Hakim

Al-Nawawi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: In this hadeeth it is recommended to have a sutrah in front of the one who is praying, and it explains that the minimum sutrah is the back of a saddle, which is the length of the forearm, or approximately two thirds of a cubit. This purpose may be served by anything that he sets up in front of him.

from ‘Aa’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) who said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) was asked about the sutrah for one who is praying and he said: “Like the back of a saddle.” Narrated by Muslim (771).

With regard to whether it should be thick or thin, there is no definition that we are aware of. It may be thin like an arrow or a spear, or it may be thick like a wall. The Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) used to use a short spear as a sutrah.

Why  is  "As Suthra" So important?

It is Sunnah for the worshipper, if he is praying alone or as an imam, to have a sutrah in front of him that will prevent people from walking in front of him, and to enable him to focus properly on the actions of the prayer.

It was narrated that Sahl ibn Sa’d said: Between the place where the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) prayed and the wall was a space that would allow a sheep to pass. (Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 474; Muslim, 508).

Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) who said: “When one of you prays facing a sutrah, let him draw close to it so that the Shaytaan will not interrupt his prayer.” Classed as hasan by Ibn ‘Abd al-Barr in al-Tamheed (4/195); classed as saheeh by al-Nawawi in al-Majmoo ‘ (4/195) and by al-Albaani in Saheeh Abi Dawood.

It was narrated from Anas bin Malik that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) prayed ‘Eid at the prayer place, using a small spear as a Sutrah.(ibn Majah)

The seriousness of "As Suthra"

It was narrated in al-Saheeh that Abu Juhaym said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “If a person who passes in front of someone who is praying knew (the burden of sin) that he bears, he would rather stand for forty than pass in front of him.” Abu al-Nadr said, “I do not know whether he said forty days or months or years.” (Narrated by al-Bukhaari, al-Salaah, 480; Muslim, al-Salaah, 507).

Effortless Charity that helps one to increase his/her good deeds!!

Today morning I met two young and beautiful girls who were leaving to their secondary school where I smiled at them but they refused to return a smile to me which is not that costly. Then I had thought of those old days where people who even don't know the languages and are not known to each other or from a different culture; used smile at us and everyone had the habit of returning the smile which made the world and the days beautiful and positive. I think the world became a place where collecting material things have become the priority over everything and are always busy with their world and refused to give others even a small charity "Smile".

The believer according to the teaching of Islam must be good-natured, treat others kindly, be gentle, be cheerful, and feel at ease with people. He should be neither harsh and rough nor soft and foolish; he should not seek to please people by doing that which incurs the wrath of Allah, and he should not fear the blame of anyone for the sake of Allah. Righteousness should not prevent him from smiling or having a sense of humour and the ability to joke, and it should not prompt him to be isolated from people and refrain from mixing with them; rather he mixes with people, greets them, smiles at them these are the list of thing which is expected by Allah and His Messenger from the true believer!
May Allah help us attain these beautiful characteristics

Smile "It is a Sunnah"  At-Tirmidhi (1956) narrated that Abu Dharr said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Your smiling at your brother is an act of charity.” Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh at-Tirmidhi.

Charity, as it is traditionally understood, consists of money or various objects given by the rich to help the poor or by the strong to help the weak. But Islam beautifies its meaning as"Charity has a physical and a spiritual dimension which are thus fused into one so that a person can say in giving charity: Take this Money or take this helping hand or take this feeling!"

Jabir ibn Abdullah reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:Every good deed is charity. Verily, it is a good deed to meet your brother with a smiling face, and to pour what is left from your bucket into the vessel of your brother.Source: Sunan At-Tirmidhi 1970, Grade Sahih

Jabir ibn Abdullah reported:Ever since I embraced Islam the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, would never avoid me and I would not see him except with a smile on his face.Source: Sahih Muslim 2475, Grade sahih

Abdullah ibn Al-Harith reported:I have not seen anyone smile more often than the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him.Source: Sunan al-Tirmidhi 3641, Grade hasan

Narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Verily you cannot afford to make people happy with your wealth, but you can make them happy with you by means of a cheerful face and good attitude.” Classed as hasan by al-Albaani in Saheeh at-Targheeb (2661).

The Prophet Muhammad [PBUH] said: "Do not abuse anyone, do not look down upon any good work, and when you speak to your brother, show him a cheerful face."[Sunan of Abu-Dawood, Hadith 1889]

Al-Bukhaari (6035) and Muslim (2321) narrated from ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Amr that the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Verily the best of you are those who are best in attitude.”

From above Ahadeeths it is more clear “Your smiling at your brother is an act of charity.” So Let us beautify the world with our smile and gain reward

Countless scientific studies have confirmed that a genuine smile is generally considered attractive to others around us. Other studies have shed light on how the act of smiling can elevate your mood and the mood of those around you. Still. others have found a strong link between good health, longevity, and smiling. Most importantly, studies have shown that just the act of smiling (making the physical facial shapes and movements), whether the result of real joy or an act, can have both short- and long-term benefits on people's health and well being.

May Allah accept our efforts and make us of the best people!
Islam is the best.

"These verses are not recited for three nights in any home except that no devil can come near it" Prophet Muhammad (SAW))

Virtues of Suratul Baqarah

Last two verses are so special as it is a part of Surah baqara. This two hadeeth is more than enough to understand the virtue of surah al baqarah!

It is narrated by Hazrat Abu Hurairah (R.A) that that the Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.) said:
"Do not turn your houses into graves. Indeed Ash-Shaitan (Devil/Satan) does not enter the house in which Surah Al Baqarah is recited." (Tirmidhi: 2877)

It is narrated by Hazrat An-Nawwas bin Saman (R.A) that the Prophet (S.A.W.) said: "The Quran shall come, and its people who acted according to it in the world. Surah Al-Baqarah and Surah Al-Imran shall be in front of it. They will come as if they are two shades between which there is the illumination, or as if they are two shady clouds, or as if they are shadows of lines of birds arguing on behalf of their people." (Tirmidhi: 2883)

Virtues of Last Two Verses of Suratul Baqarah

The last two Ayats of Surah Baqarah are two of the most important verses of the Quran. Every verse is precious and important, but sometimes, you get verses like this that have so much importance attached to them by Allah (ta’ala) Himself and his messenger (S.A.W.) approved it!

From Ibn ‘Abbas ” who said: “While Jibra’eel (Gibrael) ” `May Peace be upon him’ was sitting with the Prophet, he heard the opening of a gate above him. So he raised his head and said: `This is a gate from the skies that has opened today, which has never opened before this day.’ So an angel descended from it (the gate). So he Jibra’eel ” said: “This is an angel that has descended to the earth, which has never descended except today. He gave Salam and said: ‘Receive glad tidings (Oh Muhammad!) with two lights which have been given to you, that have never been given to a Prophet before you: The Opening of the Book (i.e. Surat Al- Fatihah) and the end of Surat Al-Baqarah. Never do you read a letter from either of the two (Surahs) except that you are given it. (Which means that you are given its reward (i.e. the reward of recitation)) (Reported by Muslim) (Taken from Mukhtasar Sahih Muslim with Shaykh AI-Albani’s editing, p.553, Hadith no. 2094.)

“Verily, Allah Wrote a Book one thousand years before He created the Heavens and the Earth; from this Book descended the last two verses of ‘al-Baqarah.’ These verses are not recited for three nights in any home except that no devil can come near it.”[‘Sahih al-Jami”; # 1799]

Abu Mas’ud reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever recites the last two verses of Surat al-Baqarah in the night, it is enough for him.”Source: Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 4723, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 807

Imaam Ahmad reported in his Musnad from Abu Dharr (radiyallaahu ‘anhu) that the Prophet (salallaahu ‘alaihi wassallam) said: “I was given the last two verses from Sooratul-Baqarah from the treasure that is just beneath the Throne that was not given to a Prophet before me.”(No. 21564, Saheeh li-ghairihi, authentic due to supporting reports).

Are you a stranger in this world (part 3)?( in more deeper sense!!)

Assalamu alikum warahmathullahi wa barakathuhu (peace be upon you!)My dear readers of "Islam is the best" I thought of writing the article "Are you a stranger in this world" in a more deeper sense to make me and you understand the hadeeth which the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) spoke about the strangeness in a greater sense of knowledge.

Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Islam began as something strange and will revert to being strange as it began, so give glad tidings to the strangers(Ghuraab).” Muslim (145)
‏ بَدَأَ الإِسْلاَمُ غَرِيبًا وَسَيَعُودُ غَرِيبًا فَطُوبَى لِلْغُرَبَاءِ ‏"‏ ‏"
  • “Strange” refers to the small number of its adherents. The basic meaning of ghareeb (a stranger) is being far from one's homeland.
  • “Tooba (glad tidings)” has been interpreted as meaning Paradise or a great tree in Paradise.
This hadeeth is Explained as:
  • Islam originally began as a strange phenomenon in the society. The idea of worshiping only one God and adhering to universal moral teachings was distasteful to the pre-Islamic Arab society whose ethics and loyalties were based upon tribalism.
  • After Islam won the hearts and minds it spreaded throughout the world, the teachings of Islam were no longer viewed as strange at all
  • However, the Prophet warned us that days would come when Islam would return to being strange in society just as it began. As we experience today around the world (Islamophobia)!! Muslims will be viewed as weird, troublesome, or even enemies of the state.
  • Yet if we face such trials and still hold on to practice Islam without fleeing from Islam due to trials , we should rejoice because The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said "so give glad tidings to the strangers(Ghuraab)"
Who are strangers (Ghuraab)" is Explained as!
  • Ibn Majah narrated that it was asked, “Who are the strangers?” The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) responded, “Those (few) who left their tribes (for Islam)”.
  • In another version, the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) responded to the question by stating, “Those that correct the people when they become corrupt” (Abu Amr al-Dani, Al-Albani graded it authentic in Sahihah (3/267)
  • It is authentic according to al-Albani. Another narration says, "Those that correct my Sunnah which has been corrupted by the people after me."
  • In another narration he said in response to the same question, “They are a small group of people among a large evil population. Those who oppose them are more than those who follow them” (Ahmad, Al-Albani graded it authentic in Sahihah (4/153)).
These praiseworthy people are called strangers since they are a small minority among mankind. Thus, Muslims are strangers among mankind; the true believers are strangers among some Muslims and hypocrite [those who do not practice Islam but the holder of Muslim name] ;And the followers of the Sunnah, those that clear themselves from all peoples of innovation, are likewise strangers for those innovate.

Scholars also explained the meaning of strangers as the disappearance of the correct understanding of Islam and the prophetic tradition (sunnah).

Ibn Rajab summarizes these interpretations:They are the strangers in the last days mentioned in these traditions: those who reform the affairs when people have become corrupt, those who correct what people have corrupted of the prophetic tradition, those who flee from trials and tribulations to safeguard their religion, and those who have departed from the tribes. For they are few, only one or two will be found in some tribes or none at all in others, just as the first Muslims. This is how the Imams have explained this tradition.Source: Kashf al-Kurbah 1/6

And Ibn Al-Qayyim summarizes the meaning as follows:He is strange in the affairs of his world and his Hereafter. He will not find support or cooperation from the masses of people, for he is a scholar among the ignorant, a companion of the Sunnah among the people of innovation, a caller to Allah and His Messenger among those who call to desires and innovations, commanding good and forbidding evil among people who view good as evil and evil as good.Source: Madārij al-Sālikīn 3/189

When society moves down the wrong path, our duty is to call them to Allah and His Messenger and the divine teachings which bring happiness to life in this world and in the Hereafter. Sometimes we will be called strange or weird, and we will be mocked or even abused, yet we should always remember that blessed are the strangers as The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said "so give glad tidings to the strangers(Ghuraab)".

We ask Allah to keep us steadfast in faith and secure in the strangeness of Islam in days to come.Success comes from Allah alone, and Allah knows best.

"How to maximise the benefit of the first ten days of Dhul Hajj "!!

If you want to know the virtues of these day please read "Can't wait till we enter the best 10 days of the year !!"

1. Fasting the 9 days of Dhul Hijjah

It is Sunnah to fast on the ninth day of Dhu’l-Hijjah, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) urged us to do good deeds during this time, and fasting is one of the best of deeds.Righteous deeds on these ten days are better than that is done on other days. With regard to fasting, that should only be done on nine of them; the tenth day is the day of Eid when it is haraam
(Prohibited to fast) to fast.

It was reported from Abu Qutaadah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was asked about fasting on the Day of ‘Arafaah. He said, “It expiates for the sins of the previous year and of the coming year.” Narrated by Muslim.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to fast on the ninth of Dhu’l-Hijjah. Hunaydah ibn Khaalid reported from his wife that some of the wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to fast on the ninth of Dhu’l-Hijjah, on the day of ‘Aashooraa’, on three days of each month, and on the first two Mondays and Thursdays of each month." (Reported by al-Nisaa’i, 4/205 and by Abu Dawud; classified by al-Albaani as saheeh inSaheeh Abi Dawud, 2/462).

2. Reciting tasbeeh, tahmeed, tahleel and takbeer abundantly

It is Sunnah to say Takbeer ("Allaahu akbar"), Tahmeed ("Al-hamdu Lillaah"), Tahleel ("La ilaha ill-Allaah") and Tasbeeh ("Subhaan Allaah") during the first ten days of Dhu’l-Hijjah, and to say it loudly in the mosque, the home, the street and every place where it is permitted to remember Allaah and mention His name out loud, as an act of worship and as a proclamation of the greatness of Allaah, may He be exalted.

Men should recite these phrases out loud, and women should recite them quietly.

Revive the forgotten Sunnah!
There is sound evidence that Ibn ‘Umar and Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with them) used to go out in the marketplace during the first ten days of Dhu’l-Hijjah, reciting Takbeer, and the people would reciteTakbeer when they heard them.

3.Performing Hajj and ‘Umrah

One of the best deeds that one can do during these ten days is to perform Hajj to the Sacred House of Allaah.Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him): "An accepted Hajj brings no less a reward than Paradise."

4. Offering the Qurbani (sacrifice of a livestock animal)

One of the good deeds that will bring a person closer to Allaah during these ten days is offering a sacrifice, by choosing a high-quality animal and fattening it, spending money for the sake of Allaah.

“It is not their meat, nor their blood, that reaches Allah, It is their piety that reaches Allah.” [surah Al haj :37]

5.Doing more good deeds in general

Because good deeds are beloved by Allaah and will bring a great reward from Him.

The Prophet  (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “There are no days in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days (Dhul Hijjah).” [ibn majah]

Deed such as worshipping Allaah, praying (salaat) and adding more sunnah prayer, reciting Qur’an, remembering Allaah, making supplication (du’aa’), giving charity, honoring his parents, upholding the ties of kinship, enjoining what is good and forbidding what is evil, and other good deeds and acts of worship.

"Can't wait till we enter the best 10 days of the year !!"

"Can't wait till we enter the best 10 days of the year !!"This is really about the best 10 days which is proven by saheeh Ahadeeth (plural of hadeeth);which is to come most probably in the first week of August 2019.So let's learn the virtue of these 10 days so that we can make those days most fruitful days of the year."The best 10 days of the year is the first ten days of month of  Dhu’l-Hijjah." But why?? To know the answer keep reading!!

1. Allaah swears an oath by them, and swearing an oath by something is indicate its importance and great benefit.
Allaah says: "By the dawn; by the ten nights" [al-Fajr 89:1-2].
Most of the scholars of Islam, even Ibn ‘Abbaas,  Ibn Katheer said: said that this refers to the first ten days of Dhu’l-Hijjah.

2. The Prophet (ﷺ) testified that these are the best days of the year,it is proven by the following  saheeh ahaadeeth.

Ibn 'Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) reported:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "There are no days during which the righteous action is so pleasing to Allah than these days (i.e., the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah)." He was asked: "O Messenger of Allah, not even Jihad in the Cause of Allah?" He (ﷺ) replied, "Not even Jihad in the Cause of Allah, except in case one goes forth with his life and his property and does not return with either of it."[Al- Bukhari].

It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“There are no days during which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these days,” meaning the (first) ten days of Dhul- Hijjah. They said: “O Messenger of Allah! Not even Jihad in the cause of Allah?” He said: “Not even Jihad in the cause of Allah, unless a man goes out with himself and his wealth and does not bring anything back.”(Ibn Maja)

The above ahaadeeth indicate that these ten days are better than all the other days of the year, not even the last ten days of Ramadaan. But the last ten nights of Ramadaan are better, because they include Laylat al-Qadr  which is better than a thousand months.

3. These ten days include the Day of ‘Arafaah on which Allaah perfected His Religion; Fasting on this day will expiate for the sins of two years.

4. These days also include the Day of Sacrifice, the greatest day of the entire year and the greatest day of Hajj, which combines acts of worship in a way unlike any other day.

5.. The Prophet (ﷺ) encouraged people to do much righteous deeds because of the virtue of this season.

6. The Prophet (ﷺ) commanded us to recite a lot of Tasbeeh("Subhan-Allaah"), Tahmeed ("Al-hamdu Lillaah") and Takbeer ("Allaahu akbar") during this time.

‘Abdullaah ibn ‘Umar (ral) reported that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "There are no days greater in the sight of Allaah and in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Him than these ten days, so during this time recite a great deal ofTahleel ("La ilaaha ill-Allaah"), Takbeer and Tahmeed." (Reported by Ahmad, 7/224; Ahmad Shaakir stated that it is saheeh).

When are you officially dead? Quran Answered before science - There Is No Clash

Please watch the above video!!!

Subhana Rabbi (Glory be to Allah the lord of the world) This is a show done by Clare Forestier, BBC reporter, She speaks amazing things about Quran and modern science....

The Noble Quran is the eternal miracle of Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessing be upon him, because all the miracles of the prophets ended with their death, except our Prophet, peace and blessing be upon him, whose miracle is still preserved. This everlasting miracle is The Book of Allah and His Revealed Speech that:
لَّا يَأْتِيهِ الْبَاطِلُ مِن بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَلَا مِنْ خَلْفِهِ ۖ تَنزِيلٌ مِّنْ حَكِيمٍ حَمِيدٍ - 41:42
Falsehood cannot approach it from before it or from behind it; [it is] a revelation from a [Lord who is] Wise and Praiseworthy. (41:42)

I remember these words of Allah (A few verses of Quran) that orders us to ponder. subhanahu wa thaala :

أَفَلَا يَتَدَبَّرُونَ الْقُرْآنَ ۚ وَلَوْ كَانَ مِنْ عِندِ غَيْرِ اللَّهِ لَوَجَدُوا فِيهِ اخْتِلَافًا كَثِيرًا - 4:82
Then do they not reflect upon the Qur'an? If it had been from [any] other than Allah, they would have found within it much contradiction.(4:82)

أَفَغَيْرَ اللَّهِ أَبْتَغِي حَكَمًا وَهُوَ الَّذِي أَنزَلَ إِلَيْكُمُ الْكِتَابَ مُفَصَّلًا ۚ
[Say], "Then is it other than Allah I should seek as judge while it is He who has revealed to you the Book explained in detail?"(6:114)

[This is] a blessed Book which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], that they might reflect upon its verses and that those of understanding would be reminded.

Do they not contemplate within themselves? Allah has not created the heavens and the earth and what is between them except in truth and for a specified term. And indeed, many of the people, in [the matter of] the meeting with their Lord, are disbelievers.

May Allah Guide us and help us learn this Quran with its understanding and to apply it to our lives; I found it this particular dua very Special, so I am posting it here;

“O Allah, I am your slave, the son of your slave. My forelock is in Your Hand. Your judgment of me is inescapable. Your trial of me is just. I am invoking You by all the names that You call Yourself, that You have taught to anyone in Your creation, that You have mentioned in Your Book, or that You have kept unknown. Let the Qur’an be delight of my heart, the light of my chest, the remover of my sadness and the pacifier of my worries.” (Source: Musnad Ahmad # 1/391)

2.Second Stage :We made the sperm-drop into an alaqah
Literally the Arabic word alaqah has 3 meanings:
  • leech
  • suspended thing
  • blood clot
3.Third stage: We made the alaqah into a mudghah (chewed-like substance or lump)
mentioned in the verse is the mudghah stage. The Arabic word mudghah(الْمُضْغَة) means "chewed-like substance or lump" If one were to take a piece of gum and chew it in his mouth, and then compare it with the embryo at the mudghah stage, we would conclude that they would be almost identical because of the somites at the back of the embryo that 'somewhat resemble teeth marks in a chewed substance.'

4: fourth stage: We made [from] mudghah (chewed-like substance), bones, and We covered the bones with flesh

5 fifth Stage :We developed him into another creation(complete).

How could Muhammad (pbuh) have possibly known all this even before 1400 years ago, when scientists have only recently discovered this using advanced equipment and powerful microscopes which did not exist at that time? (Electronic microscope was build in 1931)

Professor Emeritus Keith L. Moore is one of the world’s most prominent scientists in the fields of anatomy and embryology and is the author of the book entitled The Developing Human, which has been translated into eight languages. In 1981, during the Seventh Medical Conference in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, Professor Moore said: “It has been a great pleasure for me to help clarify statements in the Quran about human development. It is clear to me that these statements must have come to Muhammad from God, because almost all of this knowledge was not discovered until many centuries later. This proves to me that Muhammad must have been a messenger of God.”

Why did we Muslims chose to Fast during the month of Ramadhan ?

Today I am here writing this article to make sure we benefit this Ramadhan in its best form and as a reminder for Muslims around the world and to inform a few of the virtues of Ramadhan with hadeeths. Recently I went through an article on a newspaper which selected four young Muslim brothers who do not fast and interviewed why weren't they fasting while we have millions of young Muslims fasting! So I thought of writing why we Muslims(young and old ) Fast! I know it could even make few people understand the wisdom behind a fasting Muslim.

1.Fasting completes my faith, as it is one of the five pillars of Islam and fasting make me an obedient creation to the creator (Allah)
  • It was narrated from the hadeeth of Ibn ‘Umar that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Islam is built on five (pillars): the testimony that there is no god except Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah; establishing prayer; paying zakaah; fasting Ramadaan; and Hajj to the House (the Ka’bah).”(al-Bukhaari, 8; Muslim, 16)
  • The month of Ramadhan [is that] in which was revealed the Qur'an, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion. So whoever sights [the new moon of] the month, let him fast it; (2:185)
  • It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: “The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: ‘Allaah says: “Every deed of the son of Adam is for him, except for fasting; it is for Me and I shall reward for it.”
2. Allaah revealed the Qur’aan in this month, and also known as month of Quran
  • The month of Ramadhan [is that] in which was revealed the Qur'an, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion. (2:185)
  • “Verily, We have sent it (this Qur’aan) down in the Night of Al-Qadr (Decree).(97:1)
  • Indeed, We sent it down during a blessed night(month of Ramadhan). Indeed, We were to warn [mankind].(44:33)
3. It contains the night of power which is called Laylat al-Qadr, which is better than a thousand months.
  • Abu Hurayrah (radhiallahu anhu) narrated that the Messenger (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said: "Whoever stands (in qiyaam) in Laylat ul-Qadr [and it is facilitated for him] out of faith and expectation (of Allah's reward), will have all of his previous sins forgiven." [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
  • For more detail about this night vist : https://ssumaiya.blogspot.com/2015/07/virtue-of-night-of-powerqadr-for.html
4. By fulfilling the conditions while performing certain acts of worship during this month our previous sins could be forgiven!
  • Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "He who observes fasting during the month of Ramadan with Faith while seeking its reward from Allah, will have his past sins forgiven."[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
  • Narrated from Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Whoever spends the nights of Ramadaan in prayer out of faith and in the hope of reward, his previous sins will be forgiven.”al-Bukhaari (2008) and Muslim (174)

5. Allaah opens the gates of Paradise and closes the gates of Hell, and chains up the devils; so one could make ample of acts of worship!
  •  The hadeeth of Abu Hurayrah who said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “When Ramadaan comes, the gates of Paradise are opened and the gates of Hell are closed, and the devils are chained up.”(al-Bukhaari, 1898; Muslim, 1079)
6.  Every night Allah has people whom He redeems from the Fire.
  • Imam Ahmad (5/256) narrated from the hadeeth of Abu Umaamah that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “At every breaking of the fast, Allah has people whom He redeems.” Al-Mundhiri said: there is nothing wrong with its isnaad; and it was classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Targheeb, 987.
7. Honored to enter paradise by a special gate(entrance)
  • It was narrated from Sahl ibn Sa’d (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “In Paradise there are eight gates, among which is a gate called al-Rayyaan, which none will enter but those who fast.” (Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 3017)
8. My prayer is answered!
  • The Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “There are three whose supplication will not be rejected: the just ruler, the fasting person until he breaks his fast, and the supplication of one who has been wronged.”Narrated by Ahmad (8043)
  • It was narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Three prayers are not rejected: the prayer of a father, the prayer of a fasting person, and the prayer of a traveler.” Narrated by al-Bayhaqi, 3/345; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in al-Saheeh 1797.
9.Fasting will be an intercession for the slave on the Day of Resurrection
  • Fasting will be an intercession for the slave on the Day of Resurrection, when it will say: O Lord, I stopped him from eating and drinking during the day, so let me intercede for him.(Reported by Ahmad, 2/174)
10. Fasting will save us from hellfire and admit us to paradise!
  • Whoever fasts one day for the sake of Allah, Allah will keep his face seventy years distance away from the Fire because of it.(Reported by Muslim, 2/808)
  • Whoever fasts a day seeking the pleasure of Allah and then dies [i.e. that is the last thing he does] will enter Paradise.(Reported by Ahmad, 5/391)
May Allah accept this Ramadhan from all of us ; Keep sharing the article for you to be rewarded! The Prophet said, “Whoever guides someone to goodness will have a similar reward.”Source: Sahih Muslim 1893

7 Easy ways to maximize your Rewards during Ramadhan!

In this article I am selecting 7 simple perfect ways to maximize the reward of your fasting with authentic hadeeths! And Pray Allah to accept this Ramadhan and every Ramadhan in its perfect form! And Don't forget to pray for those brothers and sisters  around the world who are facing hardships during ,before and after Ramadhan!

1. Fast Ramadhan with belief and truly seeking the reward of Allah the Most High so that He may forgive you your past sins.

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "He who observes fasting during the month of Ramadan with Faith while seeking its reward from Allah, will have his past sins forgiven." [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

2. Pray Salat ut-Tarawih ( the night prayer during the nights of Ramadhan) - especially on Layatul-Qadr - based on belief and truly seeking the reward of Allah, so that Allah may forgive you your past sins.

"Whosoever performs (optional Tarawih) prayers at night during the month of Ramadan, with Faith and in the hope of receiving Allah's reward, will have his past sins forgiven."
[Muslim].

3.Give food to some fasting people to gain a reward similar to theirs.

It was narrated that Zayd ibn Khaalid al-Juhani said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever gives iftaar to one who is fasting will have a reward like his, without that detracting from the reward of the fasting person in the slightest.” [Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 807; Ibn Maajah, 1746.]

4.Give a lot of charity for the best charity is that of Ramadhan.

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was the most generous of the men; and he was the most generous during the month of Ramadan when Jibril visited him every night and recited the Qur'an to him. During this period, the generosity of Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) waxed faster than the rain bearing wind.[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

5.Hasten breaking your fast after the sun has truly set in order to gain the love of Allah.

It was narrated from Sahl ibn Sa’d that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The people will still be fine so long as they hasten to break their fast.” [Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 1821; Muslim, 1838]

6. If someone insults you to respond in a better manner and say, “I am fasting,”!

It was narrated by al-Bukhaari and Muslim from Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him), that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Fasting is a shield or protection so there should be no obscene or offensive talk or behaviour. If a person fights him or insults him, let him say, ‘I am fasting,’ twice.[ Al-Bukhaari, no. 1894; Muslim, 1151]

7.Delay your suhoor !

It was narrated by al-Bukhaari from Anas from Zayd ibn Thaabit (may Allaah be pleased with him) who said: “We ate suhoor with the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), then he got up to pray.” I said: “How much time was there between the adhaan and suhoor?” He said: “The time it takes to recite fifty verses.” [Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 1921].

Is Islam a Religion of Violence or Religion of peace?

Assalamu alaikum(peace be upon you): Please watch the above video too!

To mainstream Muslims, Islam represents a spiritual journey towards God(Allah) by worshiping Him alone and caring for His creation. Allah says in his Qur'an "Worship Allah and associate nothing with Him, and to parents do good, and to relatives, orphans, the needy, the near neighbor, the neighbor farther away, the companion at your side, the traveler, and those whom your right hands possess. Indeed, Allah does not like those who are self-deluding and boastful." (Qur’an 4:36).

Muslims around the world affirm mercy and compassion as a fundamental characteristic of God Almighty as said in Quran in its first verse of Quran "In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful."(Qur’an 1:1).

His Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was sent as mercy to the world Allah says "And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a mercy to the worlds." (Qur’an 21:107), and the religion of Islam is named as religion of peace (deen al-Rahmah).

The values of Islam are represented by the abundant Qur’anic verses to respond with peace in the face of hostility and to love peace; Allah says "And the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth easily, and when the ignorant address them [harshly], they say [words of] peace,"(Qur’an 25:63)

And teaches to be justice even to those who have hatred and animosity towards you "O you who have believed, be persistently standing firm for Allah, witnesses in justice, and do not let the hatred of a people prevent you from being just. Be just; that is nearer to righteousness. And fear Allah ; indeed, Allah is Acquainted with what you do."(Qur’an 5:8)

And Islam teaches you to treat with compassion and justice those who do not Allah say "Allah does not forbid you from those who do not fight you because of religion and do not expel you from your homes - from being righteous toward them and acting justly toward them. Indeed, Allah loves those who act justly." (Qur’an 60:8).

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ provided the exemplary role model for Muslims in showing forgiveness to even those who persecuted him and his followers, teaching Muslims to Jarir bin Abdullah narrated that the Messenger of Allah said:"Whoever does not show mercy to the people, Allah will not show mercy to him."(tirmidi) The Qur’an and the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ provide explicit condemnation of violence.

The Qur’an states:

"whoever kills a soul unless for a soul or for corruption [done] in the land - it is as if he had slain mankind entirely. And whoever saves one - it is as if he had saved mankind entirely."

the Prophet ﷺ said:

"A person can only remain sound in his faith so long as he does not shed blood" (Sahih Bukhari).

May Allah help us attain Jannah(Paradise) by practicing this religion of peace!!

If you are planning a Visit to Masjid al Haram or Masjid an Nawawi? Then you need to read it!

Today I am here to just give you some authentic hadeeth on the virtue of visiting these places so that we can maximise the reward during the visit to these masjids.

Virtues of Prayer at these masjid from ahadithees

The multiplication of reward for prayer in al-Masjid al-Haraam is proven in the report narrated by Ahmad and Ibn Majaah (1406) from Jaabir (may Allaah be pleased with him), that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “One prayer in my mosque is better than one thousand prayers elsewhere, except al-Masjid al-Haraam, and one prayer in al-Masjid al-Haraam is better than one hundred thousand prayers elsewhere.”
This hadeeth was classed as saheeh by al-Mundhiri and al-Busayri. Al-Albaani said: Its isnaad is saheeh according to the conditions of the two Shaykhs [al-Bukhaari and Muslim].

Ahmad (14284) and Ibn Maajah (1406) narrated that Jaabir said: “The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: ‘One prayer offered in al-Masjid al-Haraam is better than one hundred thousand prayers offered elsewhere.’” Al-Haafiz said: the men of its isnaad are thiqaat (trustworthy). It was classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Irwa’ al-Ghaleel, 1129.

"I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'One prayer in this Masjid of mine is better than a thousand prayers in any other Masjid except Al-Masjid Al-Haram.'"(Sunan an-Nasa'i 2898)

Normal masjid 1 prayer(salah) is as if you prayed 1 Prayer(salah)
Masjid Nawawi 1 Prayer(salah) is as if you prayed 1000 Prayer(salah)
Masjid al-Haraam 1 Prayer(salah) is as if you prayed 100,000 Prayer(salah)
Subhanallah! (Glory be to Allah)

Virtue of performing Tawaf

Al-Tirmidhi (959) narrated that ‘Abd-Allaah ibn ‘Umar said: “I heard the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) say, ‘Whoever circumambulates this House seven times, fulfilling all the conditions of tawaaf, it is as if he freed a slave. He does not put down one foot and lift the other but Allaah will erase one bad deed and will record one good deed for him.” Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Tirmidhi.

Subhanallah!

It was narrated from ‘Urwah, from ‘Aa’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her), that the first thing the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) did when he came to Makkah was wudoo’, then he circumambulated the Ka‘bah. Al-Bukhaari (1614) and Muslim (1235).

Share this with those performing umra or visiting these masjids to you get the reward of performing or guiding others!!
May Allah accept our deeds and admit us to Jannah!

THE 70,000 - JANNAH WITH NO JUDGEMENT

Today my article will be about 70,000 people from our ummah who will enter Jannah without any judgement. This to know why they are special and what are their characteristics so that we could help ourselves attain such a position insha Allah! May Allah make us among the people of Jannah!

Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: “I heard the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) say: ‘A group of my ummah seventy thousand strong will enter Paradise, with their faces shining like the moon.” (Reported by al-Bukhaari).

To support my topic I have selected few authentic ahadeeths and a video which describe them (THE 70,000 - JANNAH WITH NO JUDGEMENT) clearly

Special characteristic!

Narrated by Sahl ibn Sa’d (may Allaah be pleased with him), according to which the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Seventy thousand or seven hundred thousand [one of the narrators was not sure] of my ummah will enter Paradise, and the first of them will not enter until the last of them do so. And their faces will be like the moon on the night when it is full.”
(Reported by al-Bukhaari).

Special Qualities to attain as mentioned!(detailed in video attached)

Imaam al-Bukhaari (may Allaah have mercy on him) narrated in his Saheeh from Ibn ‘Abbaas (may Allaah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “I was shown the nations, and some Prophets passed by with a few followers, and some Prophets passed by with no followers. Then I was shown a great multitude, and I said, ‘What is this? Is this my ummah?’ It was said, ‘No, this is Moosa and his people.’ It was said, ‘Look at the horizon.’ There I saw a huge multitude filling the horizon. And it was said, ‘Look there, and there, on the horizons of the sky.’ There was a multitude filling the horizons. It was said, ‘This is your ummah, and of these, seventy thousand will enter Paradise without being brought to account.’” Then he [the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)] went inside, without explaining further. The people started to discuss what he had said, saying, “We are the ones who have believed in Allaah and followed His Messenger; we are they” or, “It is our children who were born in Islam whilst we were born in Jaahiliyyah.” The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) heard about what was being said, so he came out and said: “They are the ones who do not seek ruqya, do not believe in bad omens and do not use branding; they put their trust in their Lord…”

Narrated by al-Bukhaari (may Allaah have mercy on him) from Ibn ‘Abbaas, who said: “The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: ‘I was shown the nations. One Prophet passed by with a group, another passed by with a small band, another with ten followers, another with five, and another on his own (with no followers). I looked and saw a huge multitude, and I said, “O Jibreel, are these my ummah?” He said “No, but look at the horizon.” So I looked and saw a huge multitude. He said, “These are your ummah, and these are seventy thousand at their head who will not be brought to account or punished.” I said, “How come?” He said, “They do not use branding, or seek ruqya, or believe in bad omens; they put their trust in their Lord.”’ ‘Ukhaashah ibn Mihsan stood up and said, ‘Pray to Allaah to make me one of them!’ He [the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)] said, ‘O Allaah, make him one of them.’ Then another man stood up and said, ‘Pray to Allaah to make me one of them.’ He said, ‘ ‘Ukaashah has beaten you to it.’”(Saheeh al-Bukhaari, 6059).We ask Allaah to make us among them.

Best news is!!

There is more information in a report narrated in the Musnad of Imaam Ahmad and the Sunan of al-Tirmidhi and Ibn Maajah, where Abu Umaamah is reported to have said that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “My Lord promised me that seventy thousand of my ummah will enter Paradise without being brought to account or being punished; with each thousand of them will be another seventy thousand, plus three handfuls of the handfuls of my Lord, may He be glorified.” We ask Allaah to make us among them !!
