It expiates for the sins of the previous year and of the coming year!!! (the Day of ‘Arafaah)

This is going to be an Article which will give you the Virtue of the Day of ‘Arafaah  in summarized form for easy reference Insha Allah!!! So by Reading the article you might know the virtue Specifically which will help you make this Approaching Arafah fruitful and benefitialal in sha Allah.

This come with in the Best Ten Days of Dhul Hajj so actions carried out during its days are more beloved to Allaah

((There are no days wherein the righteous action is more beloved to Allaah than these ten)) Meaning the ten days. They said: “O Messenger of Allaah, not even Jihaad in the path of Allaah?” so he said: ((Not even Jihaad in the path of Allaah, except for a man who goes out with his person and his wealth, and then he did not return with anything from that.))

This hadeeth proves that actions carried out during its days are more beloved to Allaah than the carrying out of actions during the other days of the world without there being any exception from them.

It is the day on which the religion was perfected and Allaah’s Favour was completed

((This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favour upon you and have chosen for you Islaam as your religion)) (Al-Maa-idah: 3)

In Al-Saheehayn it was reported from ‘Umar ibn al-Khattaab (may Allaah be pleased with him) that a Jewish man said to him, “O Ameer al-Mu’mineen, there is an aayah in your Book which you recite; if it had come to us Jews, we would have taken that day as an ‘Eid (festival).” ‘Umar said, “Which aayah?” He said: “This day I have perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion.” [al-Maa’idah 5:3 – interpretation of the meaning]. ‘Umar said, “We know on which day and in which place that was revealed to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). It was when he was standing in ‘Arafaah on a Friday.”

It is a day by which Allaah swore an oath.

َشَاهِدٍ وَمَشْهُودٍ - 85:3
“By the witnessing day [Friday] and by the witnessed day [the Day of ‘Arafaah].” [al-Burooj 85:3].

It was reported from Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The promised day is the Day of Resurrection, the witnessed day is the Day of ‘Arafaah, and the witnessing day is Friday.” Narrated by al-Tirmidhi and classed as saheeh by al-Albaani.

Fasting on this day is an expiation for two years.

It was reported from Abu Qutaadah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was asked about fasting on the Day of ‘Arafaah. He said, “It expiates for the sins of the previous year and of the coming year.” Narrated by Muslim.

It is the day of forgiveness of sins, freedom from the Fire

It was narrated on the authority of ‘Aa’ishah may Allah be pleased with her that the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allah exalt his mention ) said:

“There is no day when Allah sets free more slaves from Hell than the Day of ‘Arafah. He draws near, then boasts of them to the angels, Saying, ‘What do these [slaves] want [that I may give them]?’” [Muslim]

The best dua is dua on the day of Arafa

Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "The best dua is dua on the day of Arafa, and the best thing that I or the Prophets before me have said is 'There is no god but Allah, alone, without any partner'
(لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ .)"

Imaam An-Nawawee (rahimahullaah) said in Al-Adhkaar (p.236): “Thus it is recommended that this dhikr and supplication be made plentifully and that one should strive in that. For this day is the best of the days of the year for supplication; and it is the main part of the Hajj – as well as its purpose and is dependent upon it. Therefore it befits that the individual should exert his ability in remembrance and in making supplication and in reciting the Qur’aan and to supplicate with an array of supplications and to come with a varying form of Adhkaar. One should also supplicate for himself and for his parents and his close relations and his Shuyookh and his companions and his friends and those beloved to him – in all those who have shown good to him as well as all of the Muslims

A person commits a sin by which he enters Paradise; and another does a good deed by which he enters the Fire!!

Today my article is going to be about a person commits a sin by which he enters Paradise; and another does a good deed by which he enters the Fire!! let's read further to know why !!

One of the Pious Predecessors(Salaf ) said: “Indeed a servant commits a sin by which he enters Paradise; and another does a good deed by which he enters the Fire.” It was asked: How is that? So he replied: “The one who committed the sin, constantly thinks about it; which causes him to fear it, regret it, weep over it and feel ashamed in front of his Lord - the Most High - due to it. He stands before Allah, broken-hearted and with his head lowered in humility. So this sin is more beneficial to him than doing many acts of obedience, since it caused him to have humility and humbleness - which leads to the servant's happiness and success - to the extent that this sin becomes the cause for him entering Paradise. As for the doer of good, then he does not consider this good a favor from his Lord Upon him. Rather, he becomes arrogant and amazed with himself, saying: I have achieved such and such, and such and such. So this further increases him in self-adulation, pride and arrogance - such that this becomes the cause for his destruction.”

“There is no doubt that the heart becomes covered with rust, just as metal dishes - silver, and their like - become rusty. So the rust of the heart is polished with Dhikr (remembrance of Allah), for Dhikr polishes the heart until it becomes like a shiny mirror. However, when Dhikr is abandoned, the rust returns; and when it commences then the heart again begins to be cleansed. Thus the heart becoming rusty is due to two matters: sins and Ghaflah (neglecting remembrance of Allah). Likewise, it is cleansed and polished by two things: Istighfar (seeking Allah's forgiveness) and Dhikr.”

Here is a beautiful hadeeth on dhikr ; Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Take up your shields.” They said, “O Messenger of Allah, is the enemy present?” The Prophet said, “No, rather your shields from the Hellfire are to declare the glory of Allah(سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ/ Subhanallah), the praise of Allah(الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ / Alhamdulillah), there is no God but Allah(لا إِلَهَ إِلا اللَّهُ / la illaha illa Allah), and Allah is the greatest(اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ / Allahu Akbar). Verily, they will come on the Day of Resurrection as saviors and guardian angels, and they are ‘righteous deeds everlasting.’” (18:46) Source: al-Sunan al-Kubrá lil-Nasā’ī 10204

A hadeeth on Arrogance Abdullah ibn Amr reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “No human being will enter Paradise if there is as much as the weight of a mustard seed of arrogance in his heart.”Source: Musnad Aḥmad 6526

May Allah protect us from arrogance and make us of those who remembers him ,fear him in all aspects and admit us to higher level of jannah.
